The 20th (special) Convocation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SR MIST) was held on 15th November 2024 at the Kattankulathur campus.
A total of 10,848 students from various disciplines, including undergraduate (U G), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph D) programs in Science and Human ities, Medicine and Health Sciences, Managm ent, Law, and Agricultural Sciences, wer e awarded their degrees.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was P rof. Mahesh Chandra Misra, Former Dir ector of the All India Institute of Medic al Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
In his address to a full auditorium, Prof. Misra encouraged the graduates to emb bracethepricess of learning, unlearning and relearning.
He emphasized the importance of stayin g current in all aspects of life to lead a fu fulfilling and s uccessful future. He a lso advised them to lead healthy, positive li ves as they e mbark on their profession ssional journeys.
The convocation ceremony was presidd ed over by Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, Found er Chancellor of SRMIST, along wi th Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan, Pro Chance llor (Ac ademics).
The Vice Chancellor of SRMIST, Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, presented the Ann ual Report, which highlighted the instit tution’s achievem ents and outlined it s future initiatives.
