Chennai, July 28th, 2024: In observance of World Hepatitis Day, Gleneagles He alth City Chennai, a leading multi-Spe ciality quaternary healthcare centre in Chennai organised walkathon today in Chennai aimed at raising awareness a bout hepatitis and healthy Liver. Top Star, Actor Prashanth flagged off the w alkathon from Island Grounds, Chenn ai. A special warm-up session organise d at the venue by professional trainers before commencing the walkathon.
Over 1000 people of various ages and from various demographics participa ted the walkathon and displayed ban ners with slogans and other awareness material on hepatitis and messages on how to keep liver Healthy. The Walkat hon seeks to educate the public on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hepatitis, as well as support those li ving with the disease.
World Hepatitis Day, celebrated globa lly on July 28th, focuses on uniting the world under the theme “It’s Time for A ction” to emphasize the urgency of eff forts needed to eliminate hepatitis as a public health threat.
