R.P. Bala’s RP Films accomplishes dubbing Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Aadu Jeevitham in four languages
R.P. Bala, the well-celebrated personality far-famed for his exceptional multilingual dubbing works through RP Films, has successfully completed the dubbing process for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life’, which has been released worldwide today in 5 different languages.
Reflecting on his experience of bringing life and authenticity to Blessy’s masterpiece, he shares, “I received the content a year and a half ago. I watched the film in my personal theater and it captivated me to the point where I lost sleep for three days. I have previously worked on Prithviraj Sukumaran sir’s directorial debut ‘Lucifer’, as well as his other movies including ‘Kaduva’, ‘Gold’, and ‘Jana Gana Mana’, which have earned me a good reputation. I have dubbed for all the movies of Mohanlal sir, Prithviraj, and Dulquer Salmaan.”
Typically, I begin preparing a list of dubbing artists for a film after watching it. However, this particular film presented me with a unique challenge. After watching it, I was truly amazed, as no other actor could have done justice to the role. Despite being a leading actor, Prithviraj sir could have easily declined this film, considering he is already shooting for the second part of ‘Lucifer’ titled ‘Empuran’. Blessy sir spent 14 years on the script, and the production work took 6 years. The entire team faced numerous hardships, especially during the pandemic, while shooting in a barren desert land.
Blessy sir, one of the finest filmmakers in Indian Cinema, is known for his simplicity and humility.
Prithviraj sir has provided his voice for four languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The dubbing was efficiently completed within a span of just five days. His meticulous attention to linguistic nuances in each language is truly commendable and surpasses that of the local artists. Upon watching ‘Puli Murugan’, I had a strong conviction that it would be a remarkable film, and now, it has evolved into ‘Aadujeevitham’. While I always dedicate my utmost efforts to every project, I took special care to ensure that this film embodies the essence of a direct Tamil version.
