Story-;
On a highway in Chennai, Abhijit (Saiju Kurup) is murdered in front of his wife Gauri (Namitha Pramod) at night. Some who saw the murder and the police speculated that it was a ghost who did the murder. Meanwhile, while Gauri’s younger brother Naveen (Kalidas Jayaram) is looking for the background to the murder, he is followed by a woman. Vinil Skaria Varghese’s ‘Avul Pair Rajni’ (‘Rajni’ in Malayalam) is a horror thriller that answers the ques tions of whether the murder was actually a woman or a ghost, who is the woman following and what is the bac kground behind the murder.

Namitha Pramod and her husband are attacked while returning in their car after visiting a friend. In this Namitha Pramod’s husband is killed. Some of those who witnessed the attack said it was a woman and others said it was a ghost. On the other hand, Namitha Pramod’s brother Kalidas Jayaram steps in to find a reason for his role in the police investigation.But director Vinil Scaria Varghese has told how this happened in a unique way that has neve r been seen in any story.It also explains why her name is Rajni.Namita Pramod has acted so beautifully. Kalidas Ja yaram does not need to be told to act. Likewise Reba Monica John’s performance is also natural.They sing in won der that Lord Shiva became a man and became a woman. But, beyond that,
Priyanka Sai surprised by acting not only as male and female villains but also as a transgender in this film.Karuna karan, who is an auto driver, is also a successful supplier. At some places he settles his contribution with a laugh. Vishnu’s cinematography and music by 4 Music are exquisite.Despite all these merits, this film would have been better overall if a little more attention had been paid to the screenplay. A murder takes place. How is that? Why? A story to find out. Her Name is Rajni is a film that tells a familiar story with new actors. Kalidas Jayaram has pla yed the lead role. Namita Pramod has played the role of his sister. A shocking incident happens in the life of the sister. The police investigates it.
But Kalidas Jayaram plays the role of a detective who overtakes the police everywhere. He has done it diligently. Affection and the agony of knowing the truth is the specialty of his performance. Namita Pramod plays a victimi zed woman. His eyes express many emotions. His performance in the police interrogation scenes is so realistic. Lakshmi Gopalsamy, who plays the titular Rajni of the film, and Rephomonikajan, who plays the heroine, have al so acted naturally. Ashwin Kumar, who comes as a police officer, is smart enough to match. Shajigurup shows his presence even in some scenes. Ramesh Khanna who plays the role of a police officer has less chance.
The performance is worth it. RR Vishnu’s cinematography increases the quality of the film manifold. 4 musics have also helped the screenplay. Deepujoseph has tried to add vibrancy through the cinematography. Written and directed by debutant director Vinil Skaria Varghese, the screenplay is weak due to the gap between the m ain story and the main characters. When the name Rajni is there, it is surprising if Rajinikanth’s face is not there. That’s where it comes in and gives it the look of a complete Tamil film. In the story written in the feeling that the wrongdoers should be punished, Bei Mulam has painted the horror with all the colors and has shown a differenc e. Plot and casting are the strength of the director. Protection for the image as well.
