Story-;
The story takes place in Andhra Pradesh in the 90s. Many people, including school children, are killed in Rajah mundry blasts. The case was filed by the CBI. is handed over. Arvindsamy CBI is the biggest raider in this. He is caught by Sampath who comes as an officer. In a car accident, both of them unexpectedly get involved with the police. The ruling class including Chief Minister Priyamani and Police Superintendent Sarathkumar are trying to save Aravindsamy who is in jail. Against them, Constable Nagasaithanya along with Sambha takes Aravind Sami to present him in Bengaluru court. In between, Nagachaitanya’s girlfriend Kriti Shetty also joins them. But an at tempt is made to kill Aravindsamy by those who tried to save him on the way. What is the background of this? What is the fate of 4 people going to Bangalore? Naga Chaitanya, who works as a constable in a police station in a small town in Andhra Pradesh, during a night p atrol, arrests Arvindsamy and Sambha who caused an accident while drunk and imprisons them in the police st ation jail. Then Naga Chaitanya comes to know the fact that Sampath, a CBI officer, arrests Rowdy Aravindsa my and takes him away. Meanwhile, the top police officer who is looking for the rowdy Aravindsamy along with the CBI officer there tries to kill him. Naga Chaitanya, who saves them, knowing that this is not an ordinary matter, but a matter related to the Chief Minister, whatever happens, somehow saves Arvindsamy and Sampa and tries to produce Arvindsamy in the Bangalore court, does he succeed? Or not?
The rest of the story of ‘Custody’ Touted to be Naga Chaitanya’s first Tamil film and director Venkat Prabhu’s fi rst Telugu film, the film is exclusively a Telugu film. Moreover, Tamil fans will definitely not accept Naga Cha ita nya as a hero. However, Naga Chaitanya, who has worked hard for his given role, only gets a bit more atten tion when he comes in flashbacks with more hair and beard than the cop role. At one point, Udayam Nagarjuna also comes to mind. Kirti Shetty, who plays the female lead, not only loves Naga Chaitanya but also runs with him.
While some of Kirti Shetty’s love scenes are enjoyable, many scenes drag the film down.Arvindsamy, who has co vered all areas like action, comedy and romance, plays a political thug and gives great comfort to the fans.Sarath kumar, who plays the role of Police IG, descends to the level of a servant to kill Aravindsamy for the Chief Minist er. Sarathkumar, who is doing the chase work till the finale of the film, has played his role by realizing it.Priya Ma ni, who plays the role of the Chief Minister, has done justice to the character with a classy performance.Cinemat ographer Kathir, who has shot chase scenes and action scenes meticulously, is seen on the screen as he has put a lot of effort into the action scenes.
Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the songs and the background music adds strength to the film. Ven kat Prabhu, who creates the script and directs and performs magic to make even the average child enjoy, has dir ected this film to disappoint the fans. Venkat Prabhu, who penned the story and screenplay of this film as a casua lty of his hits Mangatha and Kudhampuri, seems to have stumbled across many places without inventory. Moreo ver, the chase scenes that come throughout the second half travel without any kind of suspense which is the bigg est weakness of the film. Some romantic scenes and some action scenes make us sit up now and then, but they la st for a while.
After that Naga Chaitanya and Aravindsamy run as usual, Sarathkumar chases them away and surrounds them, both of them escape from him, Sarathkumar surrounds them again, this is how the second half travels and tire th e viewers of the film.Finally, the director Venkat Prabhu, who has finished the film with the conclusion that Dhar ma will definitely win but will be a little late, has disappointed the fans who had faith in him with a twistless scre enplay and uninteresting scenes. All in all, ‘Custody’ gives the fans a disapointed treat treat. is to tell what is the problem behind Aravindsamy?
Have we come to watch the Telugu dubbed movie for the first half hour of the movie? Tests patience as it seems. But from Aravindsamy’s entanglement with the police, the film keeps the audience engaged with the peppy back ground score. Especially Arvind Samy’s one-liners in the first half, the fight at the police station and inside the wa ter pipe of the dam are entertaining. Venkatprabhu’s unexpected screenplay flourishes here and there, including the surprise Jeeva and Kayal Anandhi flashback scenes in the second half.
Whereas the case for Arvind Sammy is not strong either. And even though the songs hinder the film, the backgro und music is a strong side. Naga Chaitanya is winning the trust of fans even if he doesn’t get the expected reactio n on his face. Kriti Shetty, though not a big character, comes full circle in the film. Miratta, Priyamani, Ramki, Pre mji and Sampath in Aravind Samy and Sarathkumar have done their characters well.All in all watch ‘Custody’ for the usual jolly commercial making by Venkat Prabhu!
