Story-;
Muruganandam (Vishal), who used to work as a constable in Chennai’s Neelangarai police station, is at home af ter being fired due to some problem; Prabhu recommended him and reinstated him in the police service In the m eantime, the son of a famous rowdy shark, White (Rana), behaves rudely to the daughter of the nobleman, and the nobleman’s attempt to rob her ends in failure. Prabhu, who even as a police officer, feels guilty for not being able to do anything about the man who behaved like that to his daughter, at one point finds Villiya alone, blindf olds him and takes out Prabhu with Murukananda, a lathi specialist.
After this, on the one hand, White goes on a rampage to find what Muruga has said that he will kill the person w ho beat him, meanwhile a young woman is raped, beaten with a beer bottle and thrown on the street. ‘Lathi’ has come as a good film for Vishal, who gave consecutive failures like Action’, ‘Chakra’, ‘Enemy’, ‘Veerame Vagai Choodum’; Vishal has scored well as a constable with high officials, succumbing to his wife’s love, melting in his son’s love, and acting as usual in action scenes Sunaina who will be Vishal’s wife is beautiful. Her performa nce as a responsible wife shines. There is no depth in the characters of Rana and his father who comes in white. Muneez Kant, who always scores, has disappointed in this. None of the other characters really stand out.The bi ggest strengths of the film are its director Vinod Kumar and fighting coach Peter Hein.
Even though how Vishal escapes from the reddies at the end of the film is the highlight of the film, the scenes set by Vinod before reaching that point, except for a few scenes in the 2nd half, make the film interesting. Similarly, the 2nd half is portrayed as the climax entirely, which is tiring.Vishal’s performance in the name of acting in the end is artificial. Peter Hein’s action sequences are menacing. Kudos to Menakedal for the climax. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music ‘Oonjal Manam Song’ is crying.. The background music may be a little more threatening. So all in all it is true that Latti will definitely not disappoint. Director Vinod Kumar has tried to give the film Lathi in a diffe rent way rather than showing the usual police films. He has seen success in the first half.
But the second half was not interesting. Lathi movie does not have a hero who comes in cars and bikes and show s the scene. Instead they have shown the life of a constable who is a lathi specialist.Lathi specialist Muruganand am (Vishal) is suspended. After that he seeks the help of a higher official to help him get back to work. DIG Kamal (Prabhu) gets Murugananda a job again. The story revolves around whether Muruganandam and his 10-year-old son, who get trapped in a building under construction, can escape the wrath of a brutal gangster.The aim of Vishal’s film Lathi is correct. The film starts w ell. Some scenes make us wonder. But with the passage of time, the story takes a turn for the worse.One of the bi ggest minuses of the film is the 45-minute stunt sequence in the second half. The fight scene is too long and can’t be blamed for the hero. When will the show end?
The scene where Vishal faces hundreds of criminals in an under construction building is good. For that Vishal Me naket.But the next scenes are over. Even though Prabhu came for a short time, he acted well and made people ta lk about him. Vishal’s performance is the biggest strength of the film. He is carrying the picture on his should er.V ishal has changed his body language for the role of constable. It can be seen. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and BG M are unsurpassed.
