The Twelfth Convocation of the Vels Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) held in its Campus Premises on 05.08.2022 at 12.00 Noon. The Honourable Governor of Tamilnadu Thiru. R.N.RAVI was the Chief Guest and delivered the Convocation address and distributed the Medals and Certificates to the Rank holders at the University level.
The Proceedings were conducted by The Founder and Chancellor of VISTAS, Dr.Ishari K.Ganesh and the Vice-Ch ancellor Professor Dr.S.Sriman Narayanan delivered the Welcome Address and presented the Annual Report of 2020-2021.
Four eminent Personalities, Prof.Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Director, Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Thiru.S.Shank ar, Popular Film Director, Thiru.Suresh Raina, a renowned Indian Cricketer and Thiru.Vikram Aggarwal, Chairman, Radisson Blu were conferred with Degree of Honoris Causa.
Prof. A.Jothi Murugan, Pro-Chancellor (Planning & Development), Dr. Arthi Ganesh, Pro-Chancellor (Academi cs), Ms.Preethaa Ganesh, Vice- President, Dr.P.Saravanan, Registrar, Dr.A.Udhayakumar, Controller of Examin ations, Members of the Board of Management and Academic Council participated in the proceedings.
A Total of 68 Gold, 48 Silver, 43 Bronze Medals and 148 Doctoral degrees were distributed. Further 4011 Under-graduate Degrees, 583 Post – Graduate Degrees and 87 M.Phil Degrees– in total 4829 Candidates were awarde d. The efforts and achievements of some exceptional students were recognised and rewarded with an endowm e nt prize and on this occasion, Faculty members, Administrative staff, Graduands and Parents Participated in lar ge number.
