9,000 NCC CADETS TAKE ‘C’ CERTIFICATE EXAM

NCC “C” Certificate Exam for the year 2022 was conducted at 27 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman and Nicobar Islands under the aegis of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman and Nicobar Islands NCC Directo ra te. 9,000 (approx.) cadets who have successfully completed three years of Training in various wings viz., Arm y/Navy/Airforce appeared for the “C” Certificate Exam. Two phased exam have practicals and written papers. Cadets appeared for the practicals today. Written exam will be conducted tomorrow.

NCC Cadets who achieve “A” and “B” grading in this exam need not appear for the written test conducted by the UPSC for the selection of Commissioned Officers in Army, Navy and Airforce. Cadets passing the exam can join Army/Navy/Air Force as Jawan without the written test. In addition, several State and Central Government recruiting agencies also give preference to “C” Certificate holders. Conduct of the “C” Certificate exam was centrally monitored by HQ NCC Directorate (TN,P & AN), Chennai and HQ DG NCC, New Delhi.
