Movie Review-;

A hyperlink scenario, the film has four stories running on independent tracks and converging at a  point. Through his characters Vishal Venkat explores the inadequacies in humans, the characters having their weak moments an d going through their own moral dilemmas. For a debutant, the director (an alumnus of Rajeev Menon’s film insti tute) has weaved his screenplay fairly interestingly, the emotional quotient a strong point of the narrative. There are valuable lessons conveyed without it turning preachy.  Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal Tamil movie has grea tly impacted the audience. The movie gathered a good response from the theatre audience. The positive comme nts pour out from the first show. Debutant Vishal Venkat directs the movie Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal.   Th e characters and situations are ones we relate to. There is Vijy (Ashok Selvam) short tempered, irritated at what he thinks is his father’s overt concern about him, Selvam (Nasser)at the receiving end of his sharp retorts.

Both concerned about each other, but having their own ways of expressing it. With Vijy’s impending marriage to cousin Malar (Reyaa) and he turning a deaf ear to his father’s repeated suggestions that they should start distr ibuting the wedding invitations, Selvam one day sets out on his own.The movie centres on an accident in which the movie travels. The plot of this film is to tell how an incident caused trouble in the lives of individuals and how the characters are getting messed up with it. The film illustrates how the lives of four human beings converge at one point. The storyline is different from the movies that have been watched before.It’s a very realistic scenario the director depicts, the generation gap brought out effectively here, the interaction among the characters natu ral. Nasser is splendid, Askok Selvan and debutant Reyaa (film’s co-producer too) fitting in suitably. But post inte rval this track gets stuck and isn’t as effective. Ashok Selvan is a young man from an ordinary middle-class family who lost his mother and lives with his father. The wedding date has been decided, and he is running in its excite ment. His character is projected as rough, a rough man.

The relationship between son and father is well presented.    The second scenario is about Pradeesh (Abi Has san ),excited about the audio launch of his debut film as a hero. Son of a popular film director (KS Ravikumar in his el ements), Pradeesh is disdainful of his father’s ‘old style’ of film making. Abi Hassan surprises one with his intuitiv e take on the character. Well crafted and well enacted, in the latter half it generates some amusing moments as Pradeesh gets trolled on social media for his flip flop attitude.Pravin is married and lives with his wife. He is wor king in IT and waiting to go to work onsite. He believes that money and fame are the only things that give him val ue in the world, and he lives with the idea that he should not lose his value by asking anyone for help. Manika nd an is a poor young man who works as a room manager cleaning the rooms in a resort. The one who blames oth ers for doing the job irresponsibly. He regrets not getting recognition and value for himself. Abhihasan is the son of a famous director of cinema.

He starred in his first film co-produced by all his Friends and is waiting for its release. He lives his life thinking th at only his thinking is right and that the world is going wrong differently.On another track is Raju (an intense Ma nikandan, also the film’s dialogue writer),the head of the housekeeping department at a resort. Aspiring to be the manager, he botches up his interview, blaming his friend who had written his resume. And there is Praveen and Kayal (Praveen, Rythvika, ) a U.S. based couple visiting their parents, he obsessed with keeping up with the joneses, his talks centred around money. These four people who are busy with their different lives are becoming a reason for death. How do these people travelling in different directions relate to death? It is the rest of the sto ry of the film. Praveen and Rythvika enhance the emotional quotient in the film. How the lives of these chara cte rs converge at a point, forms the rest. The lines are well written, the technical side complementing the narrativ e.Ratan’s background music is a great strength of the film.

Cinematographer Meyyendran brings every scene to life with his skilful cinematography. Although Sila Neranga lil Sila Manidhargal is a low budget movie, the content and the presentation is excellent and admirable. The mes sage that the director tried to convey to the audience is delivered clearly.     The first half is well written and exec uted. The characters are interesting and relatable. Its primarily a male landscape, with women more as support ive factors.The scenes leading to an accident where the plot takes a turn could have been better worked out, so that the convergence of the various characters at the spot would have been more organic. The lead role of this movie are Ashok Selvan, Nassar, K. Manikandan, Abi Hassan, Reyya, K. S. Ravikumar, Riythvika, Anju Kurian, Pra veen Raja, Bhanupriya, Ilavarasu, Abhishek Kumar and Rishikanth. Watch Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal Tamil full movie in theatres. Since there is no adult content in the movie, it can be enjoyed with family.  However the je rky feel is left behind as the narrative explores the moral dilemma of each character related to the accident and how they come out of it. It’s about self realisation, guilt and redemption, the film playing on the inherent goodne ss in each humans, conveying a message of hope and positivity.
