On December 17th at an event at Russian Cultural Centre Chennai Tamil Film Director and great grandson of Rao Sahib K Kothandapani Pillai an Indian Diplomat and Tamil Scholar, Venkatesh Kumar G was conferred “Honorary Diploma” by the Russian Federal Agency – Rossotrudnichestvo, Moscow.
The award was presented by Director of RCSC Chennai Mr. Gennadii Rogalev. Present at the function were Counsel General of Russian federation in South India His Excellency Oleg Avdeev, Col R Hariharan, a retired MI specialist on South Asia and terrorism, served as the head of intelligence of the Indian Peace Keeping Force in Sri Lanka 1987-90 and Mr. Ramkumar Ganesan (Son of Dr. Shivaji Ganesan).
