Smile Foundation and Quaker win Exchange4Media’s The Maddies Gold Award 2021 for social impact for #Salutingourheroes campaign 

#SalutingOurHeroes campaign wins Gold in Social Impact category 

New Delhi, December 6, 2021: Smile Foundation and Quaker won a Gold Award in the Social Impact category at Exchange4Media’s THE MADDIES Awards 2021 for the #SalutingOurHeroes campaign.

Quaker had partnered with Smile Foundation to launch #SalutingOurHeroes, an initiative to provide over 1 lakh oatmeals* to healthcare heroes in India. As part of this initiative, Quaker and Smile Foundation reached out to over 50 government, private hospitals, and medical institutions. The initiative was rolled out across seven states including Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Kerala, West Bengal, and Karnataka.

From doctors to nurses to medical professionals, members of the healthcare community put their lives at risk to keep families safe. Through the #SalutingOurHeroes initiative, Quaker extended heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare community by providing them with nutritious meals of hope and energy. Some of the hospitals engaged through this initiative included AIIMS Delhi, Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurugram; KEM Hospital, Mumbai; Ernakulam General Hospital, Kerala; Rukhmani Bai Government Hospital, Mumbai; and Aarvy Hospital, Gurugram.
