Actor Sonu Sood fascinated by the story of Kanchipuram Idli; tweets about it as part of his association with National Geographic for its ‘It Happens Only in India’ series

Chennai, 27th October, 2021: In the latest tweet by Sonu Sood, the actor reveals what intrigued him the most about India as part of his association with National Geographic for its series ‘It Happens Only in India’. Hosted by the actor, the 10-part series unravels the unique and distinctive stories of India. As part of this association, Sonu Sood got a chance to revisit the fascinating stories of India and tweeted about his favourite amongst several ot hers including the story of Kanchipuram Idli offered to deities in Varadharaja Perumal temple in Kanchipuram.

 Talking about the show, the actor said, “There are so many in tr iguing stories in the mystical land of India that I am taking the au diences through National Geographic’s new series ‘It Happens Only in India’. The one that really had me fascinated was that of the iconic Kanchipuram Idli offered every day to the deities in the Varadharaja Perumal temple in Kanchipuram. It is known to be a favourite among thousands and I really felt the whole co un try should also know about this wonder hence we explored it in greater detail. I am really happy that I could br ing many such inspiring stories to my fans and audiences”

The show will have Sonu Sood presenting fascinating and unexpected stories across the nation – from modern to the mystic, people to places, myths to natural wonders, talented innovators, astounding megastructures to the latest in-space technology that is all distinctly Indian.

 ‘It Happens Only in India’ will air every Tuesday on National Geographic Channel in India at 8 pm starting 26th October 2021.
