BANGLADESH MILITARY ACADEMY CADETS VISIT OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY, CHENNAI
A delegation led by Maj Sutapa Jaman and comprising of three cadets including a Woman Cadet from Bangladesh Military Academy, Chittagong visited Officers Training Academy, Chennai from 10 to 15 Oct 2021 as part of ‘Cadet Exchange Programme’. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the relationship between the two Armies and exchange of best practices.
The delegation was given an insight into the training regimen, curriculum and infrastructure of the Acade my. The visiting Cadets participated in the entire range of training activities and extracurricular activities, with an effort to understand the commonalities and variations in the training regimen on both sides and also assimila ting the nuances of Integrated Training where the Gentleman and Woman Cadets train together. As part of cult ural exchange programme, the delegation visited prominent places in and around Chennai furthering the legacy of cultural ties between the countries. The delegation participated in various interactive sessions with Cadets and Instructors of OTA wherein, ideas, techniques and the best practices of Military Training were shared.
Regular Cadet Exchange Programme of this nature is an affirmation of increasing Defence Cooperation wit h Friendly Foreign Countries and a major contributor towards military diplomacy.
