INDIAN NAVY ORGANISES BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT ARAKKONAM
As a part of the ongoing ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ – 50th Anniversary of 1971 War and ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ – the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence Celebrations, a Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Indian Navy in association with the Government Hospital, Walajha, Ranipet District at INS Rajali, Arakkonam on 10 August 2021. The Blood Donation Camp inaugurated by Commodore R Vinod Kumar, Commanding Officer, INS Rajali. The Camp witnessed whole-hearted participation from the service personnel, Defence Security Corps staff, and their families.
The Commanding Officer interacted with the volunteers and expressed his gratitude for the noble cause towards humanity. All the donors were thoroughly screened maintaining COVID protocols and were awarded certificates as a token of appreciation for blood donation. 82 Units of blood packets were handed over to Dr Sujetha, Medical Officer in-Charge of Blood Bank Department, Government Hospital, Walaja.
