Piaggio extends support to its employees through various initiatives to battle the COVID 19 pandemic
- Piaggio has completed the vaccination for its corporate office employees & their family members above 18 years. Vaccinations for the complete work force & their family members of the 45 + age group at the Baramati Plant including contract/ temporary staff is also completed.
- Piaggio will soon be conducting a vaccination drive to cover all the employees in the 18 + age group which will include contract/ temporary staff working at the manufacturing plant , and their family members
- Piaggio has also introduced various other welfare initiatives to help their employees during these challenging times
Chennai, 4rd June, 2021: In order to ensure their employees safety amidst the COVID pandemic, Piaggio Vehic les Pvt Ltd (PVPL), a 100 % subsidiary of the Italian Piaggio Group, European leader of the 2 Wheeler sector and India’s leading manufacturer of small commercial vehicles has introduced various initiatives for their employees & family members. In this testing time, to demonstrate solidarity with their employees to navigate through this crisis, all PVPL permanent employees have been insured under the COVID Term life Insurance for a sum of Rs. 20 lakh to provide relief to the immediate family in case of death of the employee due to Covid.
Mediclaim insurance upon the unfortunate death of an employee due to COVID, will be extended to the imme diate family members (dependants) up to a period of 5 years as per the policy.PVPL has also introduced an Edu cation Assistance Program for providing education assistance of Rs. 1 lakh per child per annum (maximum 2 chi ldren) each until the completion of their graduation degree in case of an unfortunate death of an employee due to COVIDPVPL is also providing its employees with a comprehensive set of offerings with a single app. Employe es can avail all healthcare related services like consultation, telemedicine, E-pharmacy, lab tests, health check-ups through the app.
