AIR COMMODORE S SIVAKUMAR TAKES OVER COMMAND OF AIR FORCE STATION, AVADI

Air Commodore S Sivakumar has taken over the Command of Air Force Station AVADI on 24 May 2021. Air Cmde S Sivakumar was commissioned into the Indian Air Force in the Administration Branch on 16 June 1990. He is a B.Sc. (Maths) graduate and holds Master degree in Philosophy in Defence and Strategic Studies from Os mania University. Before assuming Command of Air Force Station AVADI, the Air Officer had held many impo rtant appointments at senior levels which include Chief Administrative Officer at Air Force Station Bidar and Command Works Officer at South Western Air Command . Prior to taking over this Command, the Air Officer was holding the appointment of Chief Personnel Staff Officer at Headquarters Western Air Command, New Delhi.
The Air Officer has been twice commended by Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief. The Air Officer is a Cat ‘A’ Air Traffic Co ntroller and has been an Air Force ATC Examiner as well as Chief Instructor of ATC Officers’ Tra ining Establishment (ATCOTE).
Air Commodore S Sivakumar is married to Mrs Sheeba Sivakumar who is an accomplished Maths teacher and Cyber Security Intervention Officer. On 24 May 21, Mrs Sheeba Sivakumar has taken over the responsi b ilities of President AFWWA(Local).
