First of its kind Speciality Clinic in Tamilnadu for ‘Pelvic Floor Disorders’

Chennai, 10th April 2021: Dr.S.Gurunathan, Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, Chennai today inaugurated a comprehensive and first of its kind Speciality Clinic in Tamilnadu – ‘GEM Pelvic Floor Clinic’ at GEM Hospital Chennai.

On the occasion, Dr.C.Palanivelu, Founder & Chairman, GEM Hospitals said, “Pelvic floor disorders (PFDs) are distinctive and comprise of complaints pertaining to multiple organ systems which need multidisciplinary team approach. The most common PFDs include Overactive Bladder, Urinary Incontinence, Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Anal Incontinence. The need for a holistic, multidisciplinary approach has been the intent behind commencing a specialist Pelvic floor unit at our hospital”.
