OBSERVANCE OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2020 IN CVRDE
Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed in all Government Offices in India during the last week of October every year, to create awareness among Government employees to fight against corruption and to ensure integrity in public administration. Activities will be undertaken during this week in all Government offices, relevant to the theme of particular year both within and outside the Organization/ Department and outreach activities for public/ citizens. Said theme for this year has been set as “Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India). Accordingly, Vigilance Awareness Week 2020 was observed in CVRDE from 27th October to 2nd November this year, keeping the above theme in view.
As part of this, an Invited Virtual Lecture by Shri V. Mahalingam, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Retd.) was organized at CVRDE on 29th October 2020 for CVRDE employees. In his lect ure, the speaker insisted that through the creation of awareness among Government employees by observing Vigilance Awareness Week, we can achieve the said theme of Vigilant India thereby making our country prosperous. He emphasized that elimination of corruption from public offices is vital to achieve prosperous India.
To further sensitize the employees of CVRDE on vigilance awareness, pamphlets and posters were distributed to all the employees in the organization. As part of said observance activities, a Webinar was also organized by DRDO Head Quarters, with the active participation of Shri. V. Balamurugan, Director CVRDE, Shri. N . Ponnusamy , Sct ‘G’, Addl. Director Shri. R. Murugesan, Sct ‘G’, Addl. Director & Chief Vigilance Officer and the key stake holders of CVRDE.
