73rd REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATED AT VELAMMAL
73rd Republic Day was celebrated at Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus on 26.1.2022 with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour in adherence to COVID- 19 safety norms.
The program commenced by unfurling of our Tricolour flag by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Dr. G. K. Kannan, Assi stant Commisioner of Police , State Crime Record Bureau, Chennai amidst the presence of Academic Director, Smt. Jayanthi Rajagopalan and Senior Principal, Shri K S. Ponmathi.
Dr. G.K.Kannan addressed the gathering by speaking at length on the poignant aspects and nuances of the Indian Constitution, clearly defined the difference between the Independence day and Republic day.
He concluded his speech with words motivating the students to abide by the constitution and fulfill all their dut ies as responsible citizens. The event concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
The gripping speech was followed by Patriotic song that infused the spirit of patriotism among the students. The event concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
Velammal made it a day with great splendour, joy and respect for Mother India amidst the pandemic.
