Story -:
Yogi Babu narrates the importance of mother in life through the stories that happened in the lives of four characters. First, Natty, who is a dada in Mumbai, often goes to a brothel. There, he does something strange to the women. What is it? Next, in a village near Tiruttani, Bharathiraja and Vadivukkarasi live on the money given by their sons. What did the sons do to their biological mother and father in return? Third, Rio Raj, who lost his father at a young age and grew up in the warmth of his mother in the fishing village of Nagapattinam, has a mother named Adhirai. What happened to his son’s desire to get a good education and somehow become a collector? Finally, Sandy, who drives an auto in Chennai, has no one to call his own. In this situation, Tulasi becomes Sandy’s mother. What is the background to it? The events that happened in the lives of the four people in this way make up the rest of the story of the film.

Movie Review -:
Lovelin Chandrasekhar, who has a fight with her mother and leaves home, meets ticket inspector Yogi Babu while traveling on a train. Yogi Babu, who understands Lovelin’s situation, tells her four stories to make her realize how important a mother is. The only thing that is common to all four stories is the relationship between them.
The father who yearns for the affection of his mother, the mother who dies of hunger in the last days despite raising her children well, the sadness of the son who is unable to save his mother who is suffering from a health condition, the helpless young man who is ready to throw away anything for the relationship with his mother, these are four different stories, and the love struggle of the characters traveling in them for their mother is the story of ‘Niram Maradha Ulagil.
The main characters of the four stories, Natty, Rio Raj, Bharathiraja – Vadivukkarasi, and Sandy, have all done their job flawlessly. The cast includes Tulasi, Yogi Babu, Aadhirai, Kanika, Loveline Chandrasekhar, Rishikant, Egan, Vigneshkanth, Kavia Arivumani, Aira Krishnan, Mullai Arasi, Mike Gopi, Viji Chandrasekhar, Aadukalam Naren, Suresh Menon, and Suresh Chakravarthy, all of whom are apt for their roles.
Cinematographers Mallika Arjunan and Manikanda Raju’s cinematography is impeccable.
Music composer Dev Prakash Regan’s music is upbeat, with songs that are a hit. The background music is also okay.
Editor Tamil Arasan has not done anything unique except to present the four stories presented by the director one by one.
Written and directed by Britto JP, it is not wrong to tell all four stories with sentimentality, but I could not bear the fact that too much sadness was squeezed into all four stories. Moreover, the film keeps running with a flashback within each story. Overall, ‘Niram Marum ulagil’ is a sad ulagam
