Story -:
Harikrishnan, who works at LIC in Chen nai, is married to the heroine Lijomol an d they are living happily in an apartment
In this situation, Dharani, the sister of Lij omol’s friend, comes to stay at Lijomol’s house for a job interview. At this time, Li jomol goes to the temple. Harikrishnan approaches Dharani at home with the w rong intention.
After this, an unexpected incident happ ens. Lijomol, who comes home after a w hile, is shocked to see the incident that h appened. In the end, what happened at L ijomol’s house? Did Lijomol recover fro m that incident? Or not? This is the rest of the story of the film ‘Gentlewoman’.

Lijomol Jose, who lives with her husban nd Hari Krishnan in an apartment in Che ennai, thinks that her husband is being o verly affectionate towards her, but find ds out through her husband’s cell phone that he is in a relationship with another woman. Lijomol Jose, who is very angry at this, kills her husband. Unfazed by see eing her husband die in a pool of blood, s he hides the body in the refrigerator and starts doing her work normally.
Meanwhile, the police, who have starte d an investigation based on the complai aint filed by Hari Krishnan’s girlfriend to the police that he is missing, have they f ound out what happened to Hari Krishn an? Did Lijomol Jose, who is roaming fre ely after killing her husband, escape the clutches of the law? Or not? ‘Gentlewom woman’ tells the shocking and surprisin ng story.
Lijomol Jose, who plays the heroine of story, is as upset as a normal woman wh en she learns of her husband’s mistake, but the next moment she does somethi hing completely unexpected and leaves the audience in awe. Although it is surp surprising for the viewers to go through each day without showing any anxiety after killing her husband, she handles it very normally through her performance and receives applause.
Hari Krishnan, who plays the hero, is a good boy with devotion to God and a f orehead tattoo, but he has become a prankster to the point of saying, “You bastard…” when it comes to women. Despite having fewer scenes, he has traveled the story line to the fullest.
Losliya, who plays the other heroine, hs s acted in a way that does justice to her character and has played the role of wo men who depend on men for prote ction perfectly.
Dharani, who plays Lijomol Jose’s youn ger sister, Rajiv Gandhi, who plays the p olice inspector, stunt master Sudesh, wh o plays the police joint commissioner, an d Vairabalan, who plays the police cons table, have all done their jobs well. Espe cially Rajiv Gandhi, who plays the police inspector, all the scenes where he expre sses his affection for his hometown are bursting with laughter.
Sudesh, who plays the assistant commis sioner of police, fits perfectly into the ro le of a high-ranking police officer and ha s acted well and threatened in a role tha t exposes the sexual abuses that occur i n the police. If you give a break from stu nt directing and focus on acting, you will definitely get villain and character oppo rtunities.
The songs in the music of composer Gov vind Vasantha are descriptive of the sto ryline. The background music has trave led to add strength to the storyline.
Although cinematographer S. Kathavar rayan shot most of the scenes inside the apartment, he has skillfully conveyed th he mental struggles of the characters to the audience.
Although there are a lot of dialogue sce enes, editor Ilayaraja Sekar has neatly e dited the scenes in a way that creates a nticipation in the audience as to what will happen next.
Director Joshua Sethuraman, who has based the screenplay on a true crime i ncident, has designed the scenes in a way that justifies what the heroine did since she is the culprit.
Although he talks about feminism throu ough dialogues such as “No matter what level women go to, men keep them belo w them,” and even though he has comm ercialized it with the crime suspense ge enre, director Joshua Sethuraman has t old what he wanted to say in a popular way and made people enjoy it, the lack of cinematic and believable design of his female characters weakens the strength of the film a bit. Overall, ‘Gentlewoman’ is dishonest.
