The song ‘R aasa’ featured in this film was a hit.

What does Parallel Universe mean to Ve trimaaran? I asked. He replied that what ever is the highest is equal to that. In tha t way, this company will achieve great su ccess in Tamil. He expressed his desire that this work should be made at international standards. Since he is in terested in learning techniques related to cinematography while working on th e film, he said to use new technologies f or this film. His product ion company is like my own production c ompany.

Director Kamal Prakash said,                          I have worked hard for this day for so  m any days. ..I have dreamed of it.. I believe that our hard work for this film will defi nitely speak on the screen.

I am a director who directs short films o n a very low budget. But we have an ide a. There is no budget for that idea. I hav e been traveling with G.V. Prakash sir for six years and one day during that trip I t old him the idea of the film. Producer G .V. Prakash Kumar has invested nearly 2 0 crore rupees in making the film ‘Kings ston’, trusting me to direct a short film f or 20000 rupees. For this, I would like to express my gratitude to him first. At this moment, I would like to express my grati tude to everyone who worked for this.

The greatest strength of this film is its cr reation. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the cinematographers, art director ors, editors, stunt directors, and VFX cre w who contributed with their dedicatio n to this.

In the screenplay of this film, action will not be isolated but will be integrated wi th the screenplay. Due to this, the contri bution of stunt director Dilip Subbaraya yan is also significant. Due to this, we co mpleted all the tasks of the film with in t the planned days and within the planne ed budget.

The actors who have acted in this film, Chethan- Alagamperumal- Kumaravel- have played different roles. I a m sure th
that this film will appeal to all sections of the audience,” he said.

Actress Divya Bharathi said, ”                        I thank all the special guests who came t o the event to release this preview. I am meeting the media after three years aft er the film ‘Bachelor’. So I am happy.

When director Kamal Prakash was tellin g me the story of the film ‘Kingston’, he s howed me a prototype video of what kin d of appearance the character should ap pear on screen. After watching it, I said t hat I would definitely act in this film.

After the film ‘Bachelor’, I have acted wi th Jeevy Prakash Kumar for the second time. He is very sweet and easy to get al ong with. I have acted in a few films but t hose films have not been released yet. T his film with Jeevy Prakash Kumar is bei ng released. I am happy about this.

Director Kamal Prakash is very calm. He is patient. He is calm. I have never seen h im talk to anyone on the set. This surpris rised me. Usually directors are very tens e.

The shooting of the film was held for 70 days. Not even one day did the cinemat ographer Gokul Binoy talk to me. He is careful in his work.

We kept getting soaked in water during the shooting of the film. Since I have lon g hair, even if I feel a little uncomfortabl e sometimes, the actors who are acting with me will talk to me normally and ma ake it normal. So I would like to thank th em at this moment.

I have also acted in some action scenes i n this film. Kingston will provide a great experience to the fans in the cinema. Ev eryone should visit the cinema hall on M arch 7 and support me,” he said.

Director Aswath Marimuthu said, “.    The director of the film, Kamal Prakash, is my friend. G.V. Prakash Kumar has bee n supporting him for the last six years. F or that, I would like to thank G.V. Prakas sh Kumar first.

I once went to the shooting site of the fi lm. The stage was designed grandly. I wa s amazed by it. I was also happy. At this m oment, I congratulate and thank ever y ryone who gave shape to the director’s imagination. Divya Bharathi and G.V. Pr akash Kumar acted well in the film ‘Bach elor’. Their chemistry was also good. I ho ope it will be the same in this film too.

I really like G.V. Prakash Kumar’s perfor mance in the film ‘Trisha Illana Nayanth ara’. G.V. Prakash would have danced in the film ‘Thalaivaa’ and in the film Vanga nna Vanganna. But after that, he becam me an actor and is mixing things up.

Director Kamal Prakash is basically a te chnical genius. If there is any new techn ology introduced in the film industry.. K amal Prakash is the first to know about it and share it with our group.

Although my short film ‘Muthal Mutham did not receive an award.. Director Vetri maaran congratulated me at the ceremo ny, ‘You will become a great writer’. It w as because of his wishes that I was able to write and direct the films ‘Oh My Go d’ and ‘Dragon’. Your wishes are the reas son for my success. So I thank you for th at at this moment. ” He said.

Speaking, Director Pa Ranjith said, ” From the moment the work of this film b egan, G.V. Prakash Kumar always talked enthusiastically about the film. That is why this film will be a huge success. I thank G.V. Prakash Kumar for giving a chance to a first-time director without worrying about the budget.

Trusting an artist is very important. Trus ting in a new concept. Especially, making a film relying on a VFX team is a challen ge. I once asked G.V. Prakash Kumar abo ut this, what is the VFX budget? But the quality of the film is higher than the bud get they told me.

He always keeps thinking that he should somehow bring this to the people. I kne w after watching the preview that it will definitely provide a theatrical experienc ence. The actors.. visuals.. music.. every thing was magnificent.

In today’s environment, there is a big ch allenge in making a film in Tamil cinema and releasing it. People want such cont ent-oriented films.

When working with G.V.P… he will under stand the things we want to say and wor k properly. That is his uniqueness. This is what creatives like me need. This makes me happy. He has trusted this team and made this film. So I wish this film a huge success.

Congratulations to debutant director K amal too. There are a lot of restricti ons for a first-time director. Many people ha ve some restrictions when directing thei eir first film and then their second. I con sider it an important thing for you to wo rk on such a huge budget film with the e xperience of directing a short film. My c ongratulations to everyone who worked on this.

We have seen that small budget films – c ontent films attract a large number of fa ns in the theaters. The success of films li ke ‘Kudumbasthan’ and ‘Dragon’ is the b est example of this. Even though there a re challenges in making small budget fil ms… Even though there are challenges i n releasing them… Even though there ar e challenges in selling them on OTT plat forms… The only hope for producers is t he theaters. For this, I express my gratit ude to directors like me, producers, Tam il cinema, and fans who have given them great hope,” he said.

Director Vetrimaaran said, ‘.                  ‘G.V. Prakash Kumar always works enth usiastically without getting tired. This is his special identity. Any director.. at any time..contacts him to meet him, he will i mmediately contact him and give the rig ht answer. He has never refused to work k. This can be said to be his unique talen t.

After working as a music composer for t en years, he wanted to act. At that time, I asked him why he suddenly wanted to act? I was doing well in music. Working in one room is tiring. He said I want to come out and work.

But after he came to act, his musical ta l ent expanded further. Since he himself b ecame an actor, he was able to improve his music easily. Not only that, he is alwa ways ready to learn. In this film too, he i s improving himself as an actor and a mu sic composer.

A few days ago, he suddenly called me a nd said that he is going to be a producer.  After greeting me, who is the directo or? I asked. The new director. Sea fantasy ge nre film… He said without losing enthusi usiasm that this is the first in India. He h ad so much faith in this film.

I had gone to see a huge stage designed f or this film. That stage was truly amazin ing. They explained the technical aspect ts of its movement, including the waves, the boat, the rain, the snow. After seein g all this, I did a calculation in my mind a nd asked what the budget was. They sai d that the budget was 10% of the budge et I had expected. I was really surprised. A huge stage on a small budget. Thanks to everyone who worked for this.

As the actors mentioned, acting in this h uge stage is difficult. It is challenging. Th eir hard work… is enjoyable on screen.

Congratulations to G.V. Prakash Kumar, who has given such dedicated work as a producer, actor and music director, and t o the director who is worthy of his trust.
This is basically a technical work. The te chnicians have worked brilliantly. The c ommercial success of this film will help a passionate producer like G.V. Prakash K umar to make more productions. I congr tulate the entire team,” he said.

Producer-musician-actor G.V. Prakash Kumar said,                                              Director Vetrimaaran is like a mother in our house. Mother always warns us for t he safety of our children. After that he s hows us the way. Even though I initially refused when I told him to act, Vetrimar aran sent me for acting training. He and I have been traveling together for 18 ye ars.

I have worked with Thanu sir on two fil ms, ‘Theri’ and ‘Asuran’. Both were succe sses. So he is a good producer for me. Cu rrently, we are also working together on ‘Vadivasal’.

Director Sudha Kongara – He is also a fr iend of mine for 20 years. When he was an assistant to Mani Ratnam, I was an as sistant to A. R. Rahman. He has stage fri ght and never comes on stage. He came here on my invitation. I also express my gratitude to him.

I have been traveling with Pa Ranjith for the past two years. I have acted in a film produced by him. I composed the music for the film ‘Dhangalan’. It was an unforg gettable experience. He elevates his assi stants to directors. So whenever I work with him, I get a new enthusiasm.

Director Kamal never makes any chang es on the set when actress Divya Bharat hi is acting. This was a surprise to me. It was only after that I came to know that his wife’s name is also Divya Bharathi. It was only after that I came to know the l ove he has for his wife.

This is a big dream. We watch films like Harry Potter released in Hollywood. I th ink why can’t we make something like th is. When they take the story of their gra ndmother, we thought that we can take the story of our grandmother. Kingston is a story like our hometown grandmoth r’s story.

A fantasy. It has to be told from our own storyline. That is, what will our hometo wn Harry Potter be like? Such thoughts came to my mind when Kamal told me t he story.

Zee Studios joined this film. They gave t heir full support. For this, I would like to thank Akshay and Vinoth at this momen nt. They are also a part of our dream.

I would also like to thank Kamal Haasan for directing the first scene of this film. I  have started a production company wit h him. I told him that I wanted you to dir ect the first scene of the first film that w ill be produced by our production comp any. He also came and directed it immed diately without any objection. I would li ke to thank you for this.

Also, Zee Studios, VFX Team, Dileep Sub barayan, Nirav Shah, Gokul Binoy, S. S. I would like to express my gratitude to m any people including Murthy, Shaan Lok esh, Poornima, lyricists, choreographers raphers, Gopi Prasanna, Singh Cinema, S arigama, Alagam Perumal, Chethan, Ku maravel, Sabumon, Antony, Arun, Rajes h, Divya Bharathi, Yuvaraj, Deepik, Venk at Arumugam, Dinesh Guna, Kamal Prak ash, etc., he said.
