Mumbai, India—February 19, 2025—Pr ime Video, India’s most loved entertain m nment destination, launched the enth ralling trailer for the second season of it s critically acclaimed Tamil crime thriller Original series Suzhal—The Vortex, whic h transported the audience right into  th e eye of the storm. Produced under the banner of Wallwatcher Films, written an d created by Pushkar and Gayatri, and di rected by Bramma and Sarjun KM, the s eries features a highly talented ensem b lecast, including Kathir and Aishwarya R ajesh returning in lead roles, along with Lal, Saravanan, Gouri Kishan (Muthu), S amyuktha Vishwanathan (Naachi), Moni sha Blessy (Muppi), Rini (Gaandhari), Shr is hha (Veera), Abhirami Bose (Senbaga m), Nikhila Sankar (Sandhanam), Kalaiva ni Bhaskar (Ulagu), and Ashwini Nambia r in pivotal roles, along with Manjima M ohan and Kayal Chandran making speci al appearances. The second season of the award-winnin g series is set against the backdrop of th he annual Ashtakaali festival held in the fictional village of Kaalipattanam in Tam il Nadu, where the brutal murder of a ve teran activist lawyer and social worker, Chellappa (Lal), shakes the entire village to its core and casts a dark shadow reac hing far beyond the village and its peop le. As Sakkarai (Kathir) is tasked with sol ving the mysterious and unsettling crim e, the ghosts of Nandini’s (Aishwarya) p ast continue to haunt her as she stares at an uncertain future in prison. The inv estigation takes both of them spiraling d own a maze of deceit, secrecy, crime, co n nspiracy, and deaths that gets more en tangled when 8 young women, unconne cted to each other become the primary s uspects in the murder. To solve the case a nd get to the truth, Sakkarai will have to navigate conspicuous motives, perso nal vendettas, and deeds of the past bef ore he is consumed by the darkness of t he gruesome crime.
