Flashing on murders, acid attacks, and al l kinds of harassment upon women, and was keen on delivering a strong messag ge through Vidaamuyarchi” – Director Magizh Thirumeni*

Filmmaker Magizh Thirumeni is on clou d nine rejoicing the positive response fr rom all ends for his blockbuster release ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ starring Ajith Kumar in lead role. The film has been garnering a phenomenal response for various reaso ns, particularly for a beautiful message on a man’s undying effort to express his love and care for his woman.

Director Magizh Thirumeni extends his warmest thanksgiving stating, “My hear t full of thanks goes to Ajith Kumar sir fo r the trust, he had in me. During our initi al meetings, he would often tell me th at he loves to be a part of a movie that sho ws respect for womanhood. When he sh ared this idea, I too got emotionally incli ned as I grew up in a humble family back ground. What was more exciting was to get the approval from Lyca Productions, who were completely supportive of nou rishing our idea. To get approval from a production house, which has spearhead ed churning out commercial entertainer ers with top league actors was astonish ing. Besides, AK sir’s filmography has al ways been a surprising model, where he would often step out to deliver exceptio nal. It has existed from the early stages of career, where after delivering a mon strous antagonist role in ‘Vaali’, he left e veryone’s eyes moistened as an ordinar ry man of dreams and ambitions in ‘Mug avari’. Well, it didn’t stop even after reac hing the greatest stature. Following a m assive film like ‘Viswasam’, he intentiona lly chose to be a part of ‘Nerkonda Paarv vai’.  Ajith sir would always get emotion ally disturbed about news flashing on m urders, acid attacks, and all kinds of har assment upon women, and was keen on delivering a strong message through Vid aamuyarchi.  Despite all his confidence, as a director, I felt that he is a star and fa ns expect the larger-than-life moments i n his movies and attempted to incorpor ate those elements in Vidaamuyarchi.

Nonetheless, he cleared off my cloudine nss stating that “The script is about prot ago onist Arjun, a normal middle-class m an, who doesn’t prefer violence until he i s pushed to the extremity, where no opti ons are left. I am confident in my fans, w ho have always encouraged my attem m pts to deliver a meaningful film.” And no w a fter the film’s release, I feel that A K sir was so precise with his confidenc e in fa ns. A director’s joy is to find satisf acti on with the results, and I’m emotionally ov erwhelmed to receive positiver espo nses from fans, theatre owners, criitics an d trade circles.”

Vidaamuyarchi is produced by Lyca Pro ductions Subaskaran, and is witnessing a grand reception all over the world.
