The Protector of Emigrants (PoE), Tamil Nadu Office, under the
Ministry of External Affairs, is organizin g a Walkathon for Safe
Legal Emigration on February 8, 2025, a t 7:30 AM at Elliot’s Beach, Chennai.*
This initiative aims to raise awareness a bout fraudulent overseas job offers, par ticularly scams involving data entry, syst em operator, and similar roles in Southe ast Asian countries, which have led man y Indian citizens into cyber slavery and exploitation.
The PoE Office has been actively taking action against illegal agents and conduc ting awareness campaigns to protect in dividuals from falling victim to such frau dulent schemes.
This Walkathon marks the beginning of a month-long awareness campaign acro ss Tamil Nadu – *Paathu Ponga* where t he PoE Office will educate citizens abou t safe and legal emigration practices and the risks of unauthorized overseas job p lacements.
We invite citizens, students, job seekers, and concerned individuals to join hands in this important cause.
