Movie Review -:

Shane Nigam of ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ fa me has made his mark in Tamil as a vibra nt young man who is about to marry the girl he loves and loves relationships. In t he emotional scenes, especially the scen e where he feels guilty and regrets, he h as given a refined performance. Even th ough he tried dubbing himself in Tamil, h is Malayalam mixed accent did not give t ihe impression of being from Pudukotta i. It completely alienates us from the cha racter.

Kalaiyarasan has given an excellent cont ntribution in the brutal nature of the pa nchayat in the village and the scene whe re he regrets seeing the condition of his love wife. Heroine Niharika has been u sed only for the song. Otherwise the ch emistry between him and the hero is co mpletely missing! Another heroine, Aish warya Dutta, is no less. As the maternal uncle, Karunas has done justice to the role given to him. Geetha Kailasam and Deepa test our patience with overacting in ‘You and Me’.

The opening wedding song composed by music composer Sam C.S. is an OK varie ty. The background music playing for no reason adds to the excitement here and there. ‘Kathal Sadugudu’ remix song is t he nail that this film doesn’t need! Prasa nna S. was the cameraman of the wedd ing sensation. Kumar has hijacked it wit h perfect angles. The night scenes and action scenes have been given the neces sary effort.u The film editor R. Vasanta kumar could have added some restraint to the fast-paced scenes in the first half without conveying any emotion complet ely. The length of the second half could have been shortened even more.

Right from the start of the film, it is like comparing each event to the hero’s love and family’s love without being emotion al! Thus the hero’s subsequent suffering s did not have the desired impact. At the same time, the heroine complains witho ut understanding the hero’s position an d complains further, widening the gap. Si milarly, in the story of Singha, his bond w ith his wife Kalyani is not properly tol d.

After the break, director Vali Mohandas unravels many knots as if there is some mystery in the film. But it keeps the film meandering without becoming interest ing. Especially the climactic scene, whic h ends without any surprise and lacks cr edibility, is not appropriate. The screen play is a bit disappointing in keeping a g ood story and turning it into a movie. It’s ridiculous that no one uses a mobile pho ne in that railway gate scen e in the seco nd half just to give the tensi on build-up! The film has a chance to ph ilosophically approach areas like guilt and punishme nt for wrongdoing, but it is disappointin g that it does not fully go there.
