The much-awaited ‘Vanangaan’, produc ced by Suresh Kamatchi of V House Pro ductions, and directed by Bala, features Arun Vijay in the lead role, and Roshini Prakash as the female lead. The film is a ll set for the worldwide theatrical relea se on January 10, marking the festive oc casion of Pongal.

It’s a pre-written fact that actors after t heir collaboration with director Bala sc ale greater heights, and it’s been the sa me with the actresses as well. It has bee n very much illustrious with the na mes Abitha, Laila, Pooja, Janani Iyer, and Var alaxmi, who have reached stupendous s tature after experiencing his Midas-tou ch.

Interestingly, as soon as the announcem ent was made that Roshini Prakash will be playing the female lead in Bala’s ‘Van angaan’, the expectations sky-rocked to the peaks.

The actress embarked on her journey in 2016 and continued to enthrall audien ces with her outstanding performances in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil movies. Si gnificantly, her recent Kannada release ‘Murphy’, captured the attention of Indi an audiences for her splendiferous perf ormance. It is noteworthy that the actre ss had played a pivotal role in Late actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s Lucky Man. Beside s, she had already made her appearance in the Tamil movie titled ‘Jada’, but she feels that ‘Vanangaan’ is going to be her breakthrough in the industry. With the film releasing shortly, the actress shares her working experience in this movie.

She starts off saying, “I got an opportuni ty for the audition of ‘Vanangaan’ after the team came across my profile. I was asked to perform few scenes, and imme diately was selected to play the respect ive role.”

“There has always been few hearsay st ating that Bala sir is always stubborn a nd harsh on the sets to all his artistes. B ut what I witnessed and experienced on the sets was totally contrastive. He mad e sure that all the actors have clarity ab out the scene and beautifully extracted the best performances from them.”

“Bala sir movies always have prominen ce for all actors, and so I have got a great character to perform in this movie. Her eafter, I will be easily undertaking any c omplex or challenging roles, for I have re ceived so much learning and acting expe rience in this movie.”

To be precise, working with versatile dir ectors like Samuthirakani, Mysskin, AL Vijay gave me a learning experience in Masterclass.

They never treated me like a newcomer, and came forward helping and sharing t heir inputs that escalated my performan ce during the shooting. To be a part of fil m with four amazing directors is a rare o pportunity and I feel blessed for being gi fted with it.

I got more acquainted with Varalaxmi S arathkumar’s mother Chaya Devi, who i s performing a crucial role in this movie. More than acting before camera, we sp ent quality time and got closer on the se ts. I started missing her, when she would depart from the sets of Kanyakumari, an d she always made me feel like home wit h her presence.

I inherited the discipline and decorum t hat should be maintained on the shoot ing spot after working with director Bal a sir. Although I have worked in three dif ferent regional industries, ‘Vanangaan’ will be a special and close one to my hea rt. Working in this film has given me the clarity to handle my future in the indust ry.
