Movie Review -:
This is a milestone film for Supreme Star Sarathkumar, who is celebrating his 150 th release on the silver screen! Known f or his iconic portrayals of law enforcem ent, Sarath Kumar once again excels as a cop, delivering a powerful and impactful performance that reminds us why he is a beloved figure in Tamil cinema. Despite the risk of being typecast, he brings nua nce and depth to his role, making it a me morable milestone in his illustrious care er.
The film’s story centers on a determined senior cop who, while battling Alzheime r’s disease, takes on a startling case invo lving a serial killer. This antagonist is no ordinary criminal, but one with a grueso me signature – carving the mouths of his victims into eerie smiles. After a hiatus, the killer resurfaces, prompting a high-stakes investigation led by a new officer (Sree Kumar) seeking guidance from the ailing but determined senior cop. The gr ipping cat-and-mouse chase unfolds wit th twists and turns that keep the audien ce guessing.
While Sarathkumar undoubtedly carries the film, the supporting cast offers a mix ed bag. Sija gives a decent performance, but Sri Kumar’s portrayal leaves room f or improvement. Rajkumar’s one-liners, while intended to add levity, lack the pu nch to truly ignite the scenes. However, the engaging storyline and Sarathkumar ‘s stellar screen presence make up for it.
While Vikram Mohan’s cinematography captures the tension and suspense with finesse, the film’s technical aspects dese rve special mention. The visuals enhanc e the story and draw the audience into t he dark and gripping world of the plot.
Ultimately, the film is a reasonably well-made thriller that reveals Sarathkumar in his element while weaving a story full of action, intrigue and emotional depth. Fans of this genre and star will find muc h to enjoy in this landmark project. It is a fitting tribute to Sarathkumar’s legacy, p roving why he is a force to reckon with i n Tamil cinema.
