Movie Review-:
Director Rajavel brings to the fore the u nique lifestyle of the Krishna river-base d fishing industry and makes it feel fresh and original. Focusing on how villagers d epend on the river and its resources pro vides a rare cinematic glim pse into a litt le-known livelihood.
Ilaya’s performance as a villager is supe rb. He captures the essence of rural life, whether expressing love, despair over lo st fish or affirming a deep-rooted conne ction to his community. His portrayal bri ngs credibility to the film.
Shivam, who plays the antagonist, also delivers a strong performance which a dds a tension to the storyline. The film could have benefited from a more com mercially involved approach, as it fee ls more like a documentary than a mainst ream film at times, which may make it di fficult for some viewers to engage.
The background music and cinematog raphy are decent and contribute to the overall feel of the film. Duval offers an in-depth look at rural life and the chall enges of maintaining a traditional way of life, which will undoubtedly resona te with fans of documentary-style story te lling.
