Meanwhile, Rathna’s elder brother Jeyakodi is a rising politician of ruling party and a film star who is distressed that his films are halted from screening in Southern Tamilnadu. A notorious gangster n amed Alliyus Caeser in Madurai Who halts his flims from screening at Madurai who also happens to be a close ai de of Karmegam – Jeyakodi’s fellow partymen who is challenging his ambitions to become CM. Kirubakaran is a cowardly man and a newly recruited SI who gets fal sely accused and imprisoned for a murder of 4 students at a college.

Rathna Kumar selects Kirubakaran, along with 3 other ex-cop prisoners to send them as moles and assigns each of them a single target with Kirubakar’s target being Alliyus Caeser. Rathna promises that they will be acquitted and resumed to their duties if they succeed in their mission. Kirubakaran accepts the assignment as he wants to marry his love interest and get back his job. Alliyus advertises publicly in search for a film director who can make a Pan-Indian film with him as lead and make him as the first dark-complexioned Tamil cinema actor. Kirubakaran assumes the alias of Ray Dasan, a student and assistant director of Satyajit Ray, and offers to make an Oscar-win ning film based on Alliyus’s life as a gangster titled Pandyaa after knowing that he is an ardent fan of Clint Eastw ood.

Alliyus agrees to Ray’s plan and their attempt to make a film. Kirubakaran wants to make biopic of Allius and do es live-shooting of his real life actions. Kirubakar learns that Allius belongs to the same tribe that is hunted by Sh ettani. It is shown that Alliyus left the village as a young boy with his father due to a tragic incident and becomes a gangster as he lost the faith in being good and empathetic. Alliyus invites other 3 gangsters and Karmegam for the baby showering event. One of the targets in hitlist gets successfully killed by one of the moles. This raises sus picion and Alliyus finds about the moles and kills them, but Kirubakaran is saved. Kirubakaran also learns that Al liyus ordered the hit on those 4 college students, for which he was made as a scapegoat. This revelation hardens his determination to exact vengeance against Alliyus.

Kirubakaran wants Alliyus to be killed by Shettani, where he asks him to visit his ancestral village and nab Shett ani with the pretext that his adventure against Shettani will be shot as second half of his biopic. Allius unwittin gly agrees and visits the village and makes a deal with Rathna that he would nab Shettani in exchange of rele as ing the tribal members, to which the latter agrees. The villagers reveal about the importance of elephants in th eir culture and how they are slowly vanishing from the forests due to the notorious poachers. Upon recuperance, Alliyus fights Shettani again and hands him over to the police in presence of incumben t CM, who visits upon his insistence that Shettani will be handed only if CM visits. The villagers celebrate once th e inmates are released with rituals and Kirubakaran marries a local tribal woman, Paingili. Movie Review-;

Jigarthanda Double X created a lot of anticipation from the moment it was announced, especially as Karthik Sub baraj is returning to the big screen after a gap of four years. The film is said to be a ‘spiritual sequel’ to the 2014 fi m of the same title. But does the film live up to all the expectations and hype surrounding it? Let’s find out! J All ius Caesar (Raghava Lawrence) is a tough gangster living in Madurai with strong political connections, while Kru pakar (SJ Surya) aspires to be a police officer. An ego clash and a twist of fate intertwine in their lives, and Krupa kar is forced to disappear as an aspiring director by the name of Ray Dasan. The story follows their journey to ac hieve their personal goals, which takes them to a tribal village on the outskirts of Madurai.

The incidents in the village form the heart and soul of the film.Jigarthanda Double X presents a multi-layered st ory that Karthik Subbaraj has managed to narrate with ease. The world is well-developed at first glance. Every sc ene and every action has a purpose, and that is made clear to the audience as well. The director has managed to confess his love for the art of filmmaking and at the same time narrate the story with a significant social pers pec tive. The character sketches and arcs penned by Karthik Subbaraj are consistent with the world building. The ch aracters of both SJ Surya and Raghava Lawrence are very well defined and follow a dimension that is visible not only inwardly but also outwardly.

In fact, all the supporting characters, especially those played by Bhava Chelaturai, Nimisha Sajayan and Vidu, are exceptional in their ability to convey the story despite having considerably less screen time.As for the technical aspects of the film, the cinematography and color quality stand out. DoP S. Thirunganavukarasu has managed to capture the essence of Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns set in the 1970s without losing the essence of Madur ai, the quiet beauty of the hill ranges surrounding the tribal village. The color grading complements the cinemat ography perfectly and is sure to bring the goosebumps.Santhosh Narayanan’s music also deserves special praise.

He skillfully blends the sound of the flute reminiscent of western classical music with the rhythm and rhythm ch aracteristic of Madurai. This unique fusion adds an intriguing new dimension to the film’s soundtrack. The son gs are well composed and leave the audience breathless.Like his previous film Jigarthanda, Double X also showcas es Karthik Subpuraj’s deep love for cinema. There are many visual and dialogic references to pioneering fil mma kers. Subbaraj also incorporates iconic scenes from his own works such as Petta, Jigarthanda, Mahan and Jagam e Tantra. The main drawback of the film is its extensive running time.

A film that is 2 hours 52 minutes long will lose 10-15 minutes. The extra runtime made many scenes feel a bit str etched. Additionally, as good as the characters are, some characters seem to have dim significance in the script. T he opposite is true, where a seemingly insignificant character has an important value in the film as well. Howeve r, none of this detracts from the cinematic experience offered by Jigarthanda Double X. The highlight of Jigartha nda Double X is the acting. Karthik Subbaraj has managed to portray Raghava Lawrence like never before. In fac t, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say he stole the show. However, that does not detract from the equally impo rtant performance of SJ Suriya.

But two other names worth mentioning along with the two lead actors are Naveen Chandra and Arvind Akash, w ho do a fantastic job as the film’s antagonists. The supporting cast of the film also stood out with their performa nces. Nimisha Sajayan, who is pregnant for most of the film, does her role well. Although Shine Tom Shacko and Prince have less screen time, they do a fantastic job of setting up the premise for the film. Bava Chelaturai’s perf ormance deserves a special mention as she brought tears to the eyes of the audience with her performance. Jiga rthanda is a must watch in Double X theatres. It is a wholesome cinematic experience with excellent writing, pe rformances, music and cinematography
