Movie Review-;
While the entire town of Madurai is getting ready for the next day’s Diwali celebrations, in a small village outsi de the town, an old man and his grandson are sitting in distress. The anxiety that the person who said he would buy it has not yet come, even though he dares to sell the “Kida” that he had grown with desire to buy the clothes that his grandson had asked for. The anxiety that we will separate the kid we have raised so desperately for the clothes that we wanted for our grandson.
If this is the tension between these two, the one who challenged his self-employed son to open a shop on Diwali against his self-employed son who sent him out of the shop two days before Diwali because he said he was drin king because he was a goat slaughterer in a curry shop, the “kida” of the elder who got to open the shop due to la ck of money. That single “Kida” that the grandson raised with desire. This is a story with a triangular problem in which three types of characters have three types of needs. In the end, the person who came to take the kida aft er raising money to open a shop with only one kida was disappointed.
Another gang has stolen the kida. “Kida” is a film that tells what happened in the end with elegance. Poo Ram, a fa rmer, is struggling to buy a Diwali dress for his grandson who grows up in his care. After trying many places an d unable to get the money, his grandson decides to sell the goat he is lovingly rearing. But the traders are afraid to buy the goat because it has happened to Sami. But Poo Ram tries to sell the goat somehow as the goat is the o nly way to get money. On the other hand, Kali Venkat, who works at a curry shop, quits due to a fight with his em ployer’s son and decides to open his own curry shop on Diwali.
But he could not buy a goat due to lack of money. However, he is serious that he will buy at least one goat and se ll curry for Diwali to do what he said.Meanwhile, Kali Venkat comes to know that Poo Ram is trying to sell the go at and decides to buy the goat saying that it is okay what happened to Sami. So, Poo Ram is relieved that he will g et money and buy new clothes for his grandson, so the goat is stolen.When the day dawns and it is Diwali, Poo Ra m and Kali Venkat go in search of the stolen goat, did they find the goat?, or not?, did both of their wishes come t rue? That is the rest of the story of ‘Kida’.
Poo Ram, who plays the role of an old poor farmer, has, as usual, come out strong with his seasoned performanc e. The scenes of him struggling to fulfill his motherless grandson’s Diwali wish and the scene of him crying after losing his goat which was the last chance for money leave the viewers disturbed.Kali Venkat, who plays the role of Villichami, brings life to the scenes with her natural acting and makes us laugh at many places. The new busine ss tactic is a scene where a person who runs out of money to run a curry shop tries to collect money from the cus tomers and buy a goat. If the curry shop owners follow his idea, it will surely be well received
by the people.The boy Kadir has lived as a boy from that land. The scenes of a person who is happy to tell his frie nds that he will get a new baby on Diwali, when he has to sell his goat to buy clothes, says that he wants a goat, a nd tries to save his goat without crying and trying to save his goat is beyond the usual cinema.Pandiyamma, who is playing the wife of Poo Ram, has played in a way that gives pride to the heads of the family who lend a helping hand to their husbands in difficult situations.
Vijaya who plays the role of Kali Venkat’s wife, Pandi who plays the son of Kali Venkat, Jyoti who plays Pandi’s gi rlfriend, Raju, Karupu and Anand, Jai, Deva, Sangki who plays the thieves in the film, all the actors in the film ha ve traveled strongly to the screenplay.M. Jayaprakash’s cinematography, along with the excitement of the festi val days, the expectation of the boy waiting for that day, Poo Ram’s anguish of what he will do when that day co mes, and Kali Venkat’s disappointment that he will be humiliated by the villagers as usual on that day, has very w ell conveyed the struggle of all emotions to the fans.In Theesan music, songs and background music travel inter woven with the story.
At any point, the music travels along with the visuals and adds strength to the music in isolation.After showing t he theft of a goat in the first scene, the film editor’s narration and compilation of scenes, which has narrated the events that happened three days before that, have moved the film interestingly The screenplay and visuals creat ed by director Ra.Venkat, based on a short journey in search of a missing goat, captures our attention from the b eginning to the end of the film. Although the film is also the events that happen around it, in it a love, not forget t ing the help done by one, the realistic comedy of the villagers, the life of children, the miseries of the farmers, e tc.,
is not only a good entertainment film that can be seen by all parties but also talks about the social woes. While it is predictable that all will turn out well in the end when it comes to searching for the missing goat, the way it def ies our guesses as to how it will all turn out is admirable.For those who fear that “Oh Sami will punish” while sel ling the goat that happened to Sami, while Poo Ram and Kali Venkat’s responses are admirable, in the end the di rector ends the film as if Sami is responsible for everything that happened, especially the scenes where the esca ped goat hides in the Ayyanar temple, which fosters superstition. Disappointing to be. Although the festival bri ngs joy to many people, most of the people do not like it
