Movie Review-;

Our hero Vihaan lives his life by running a call taxi in Karnataka. His wife is Sahana. They have a 5-year-old daug hter. Suddenly one day the daughter faints, they rescue her and admit her to the hospital. Doctors say the girl ha s a brain tumor and it will be removed in two weeks. Vihaan wakes up to what he does for money for the operati on due to his poverty. The next day, the Prime Minister announces a lock-down due to the corona virus in India. Due to this, Vihaan is still struggling with not being able to do anything for income. He is very troubled by debt. Vihaan gets the habit of Neha who becomes the wife of a very wealthy Rishi. Neha pays Vihaan to settle the en tire debt. Neha says to Vihaan that I want a child because of you… Did Vihaan bow to Neha to save his child.??

What happened in the end is the rest of the story of the film. Hero Vihaan has given a performance like that of a veteran actor unlike the first film. It seemed that he might have taken a little more training in some scenes. The heroine Sahana is not only beautiful to look at but also shines in the scenes. Not only in the love scenes, but also in the climax scene where she sends her husband to her daughter, she acts heart-meltingly. Rishi, who is always intimidating in the role of the villain, has played a bit subdued role in the film. Instead of showing him as a cruel villain, he has shown him as a peaceful villain. Neha who comes as Rishi’s wife is bound by beauty..

MS Bhaskar and Mottai Rajendran are applauded for their seasoned performances. Muthukkala could do with a little more menakedal and spice up his comedy scenes. Lockdown song played by JCgift. Could have focused a lit tle more on the background music. Das’s cinematography could have shown the scenes of Karnataka a little mor e beautifully. Throughout the first half, the director has shed light on the extent to which a common man is affect ed by the lockdown. Throughout the second half, love and family have moved the story forward. Although showi ng a beautiful love and a beautiful life, Lockdown could have made us enjoy more if we had paid a little more atte ntion to the flow of the screenplay.

 Vihaan Jolly, who plays the hero, looks like a villain but has proved that he is a hero in acting. He excels in acting in all areas as he is troubled by the condition of his child who is fighting for his life and refuses to give in to Neka Saxena’s whimsical wishes even as he is in trouble with debt. He excelled in everything from dancing to fighting, even in crying scenes, which were very difficult for the actors, and kept the audience in awe.  Shakana, who plays the heroine, is a newcomer to Tamil but still good. The stunner in both beauty and acting will definitely make a ro und in Kollywood if he focuses on story selection.

 Kannada cinema’s leading actress Neha Saxena is a fitting choice for the film’s breakthrough character. Even tho ugh his desire is outrageous, the way he expresses it makes him think of the truth on his side and makes the fans sympathize and care for him instead of anger. Mukesh Rishi who plays Neha Saxena’s husband, MS Bhaskar who plays the hero’s father, Jolly Bastian who plays the heroine’s parents – Praveena, Munna Simon, Muthukalai, Vish nukumar, Kolej Vinod, Trishya have done their job flawlessly. Cinematographer B.K.H.Das has traveled according to the story and has shot the song sequences beautifully and the action sequences with aplomb.

All the songs are melodious with music by JC Gift. The background music has traveled to enhance the scenes. Cin ematography by Suresh Ars has helped the story to move interestingly. Even though the title is Lockdown, direct or Jolly Bastian, who has written and directed a story about a woman’s problem without talking much about the problem of lockdown, has handled it differently and made it enjoyable. While the debt problem of the call-taxi d river and the twist in the story after his meeting with Neha Saxena keep the first half moving with anticipation, the Vihaan-Shakhana love scenes in the second half are used to propel the script, but they make the script sag.

If those scenes were used sparingly and the Vihaan-Neha Saxena scenes were continued again, the second half would have enthralled the fans like the first half. Director Jolly Bastian, who has handled a controversial subject in a civilized way, can be highly praised for handling the scenes in such a way that the audience does not hate the woman responsible for it, but instead feels compassion. Kollywood will welcome director Jolly Bastian with a re d carpet, who has misrepresented the mentality of young women who marry men with a large age difference due to family circumstances, and who has told the audience to accept the justification on their side very strongly. All in all, this ‘Lockdown Diary’ expresses the concept in a colorful and entertaining way.
