Story-;
While Vijay Antony is not new to the role of a cop, he has played a completely different role from his earlier cop roles. Though there are no dramatic action sequences, he has revealed another side of the police through his co mpelling performance. His performance indicates that there are many good souls who work conscientiously in unsympathetic khaki shirts. Vijay Antony, a compassionate police officer, thinks of his wife Ramya Nambeesan and son Pranav as the world. Meanwhile, Vijay Antony is forced to undergo a heart transplant on his son Prana. But the hospital treating his son sees medicine only as a lucrative profession. Vijay Antony gets angry and takes action to save his son. What is that action? So what happened? That is the rest of the story of the film.

Movie Review-;
An honest Vijay Antony is the heart of this messy, uneven drama. As Tamilarasan’s world unravels, the story ends up raising many questions, but we end up with satisfying answers.If you don’t already know, Tamilarasan is Ilayar aja’s music. The makers are not satisfied enough to mention it on the posters or in the credits. They decided to fe ature an entire montage sequence involving the maestro and his composition process for Tamilarasan .. we see t he legendary composer working on the songs with fellow legends KJ Yesudas and the late SB Balasubramaniam.
We see Sid Sriram singing a song about the pride of Tamil, and there are several scenes where Ilayaraja compose s the music, while the opening credits inform us about the rest of the cast and crew. Producers are so caught up in celebrating the maestro that they forget the importance of creating the mood for the film. After the celebrat ory opening credits, we’re thrust into the action…or so we think.We are introduced to police officer Tamilarasan (Vijay Antony) and his love for cricket. There’s a subtle tussle with senior officer Sonu Sood that threatens to sn owball into something bigger.
But the film builds on the 2018 Thoothukudi shootings, a major spat between the two. Then you may ask why yo ou are wasting time pretending to play cricket. As the world of Tamilarasan unfolds in front of our eyes for the n ext 120 minutes, the narrative results raise many such questions. But we don’t have satisfactory answers. Tamila rasan is an honest police officer whose life revolves around his wife and son. He is not cut out for the cutthroat w orld of the police system and his wife believes he is better suited as a cricket coach. But his son, who loves plants, falls ill and Tamilarasa needs a lot of money to save him.
There is one train wreck after another with caricature shows, silly comedy tracks, laugh-out-loud serious segues and painfully one-note characters. That’s not to say the script doesn’t have decent moments, but the director de cides to brutally drag down every high moment with a striking vengeance.The grand nexus between corrupt cop s, corrupt politicians and money-hungry health professionals is not new to Tamil cinema. In fact, Tamilarasan has not offered anything refreshing on this front as seen in Ramana and many other films. Even the single interesting aspect of how insurance doesn’t always cover all ailments isn’t explored enough and is touched on before the fil m veers into hostage thriller territory.
There is nothing sensational in these parts of the film. No one believes anything is going to happen to the hosta ges, and after a point, the hostages don’t believe anything is going to happen to them either. Of course, it’s impo rtant to the film that the hostages understand the inherent goodness of Tamilarasan’s crusade, but the acting a nd writing are so insipid that there’s not even a moment of sincerity. Also, Suresh Gopi plays a doctor who is se emingly good but the way he is presented is so menacing that we wait for him to be the twist of the story. Also, it’s a sin. ‘Similarly, the way villains turn into angels in Tamil Rasa is laughably common.
Whether it’s Sonu Sood playing a thankless role as a balloon-shooting rifle shooter, or Sangeeta playing an inexp licable role as a Padma Bhushan awardee, their ‘to become good people’ is just a dialogue. Bam! They change. Su ch random tonal shifts are just confusing and the film struggles to know when to play subtle, especially in the ‘co medy’ parts.
You can’t talk about an unscrupulous organ trade in one scene, show a comedy scene around it in the next scene, quickly show an emotional outburst, and return to another comedy scene. And humor is not funny, no, the ‘humo r is subjective’ angle cannot be applied here. Also, let’s not talk about the lack of logic in several important scene s. We don’t want to.Despite the abundance of contradictions, there are some likable moments in Tamilarasan. Fo r using a song to establish the romance between the lead pair without wasting time on meet-cutes .
