Story-;
Ummai Rani saves Arunmozhi Varman from drowning in the ocean. Pandya and Nandini come to know that Aru nmozhi Varman has survived. On the other side, Madhurandhakan is creating trouble by joining the petty kings saying that the Chola country is mine and I am the one who deserves the title of Chola. As Sundara Chola, Aditha Karikalan and Arunmozhi Varman cannot be killed separately, Nandini plans a new plan to kill these three, who a re the cornerstone of the Chola clan, in one day. In this, he says that he will kill Adittha Karikalan himself, and for that he sends a message to Adittha Karikalan to come to the Kadampur mansion.
On the other hand, some Pandyan thugs go with Soman Sambhavan inside the Kadampur mansion to kill Sundar a Chola. Aditha Karigalan goes to Kadapur as per Nandini’s invitation, with his younger brother Arunmozhi Var man, younger sister Kunthavai and friend Vandiyathevan stopping him.Adittha Karikalan who went to Kadamp ur was killed by Nandini’s hand? Was the intention of the dangermen who came to the Kadampur mansion to kill Sundara Chola come true? Is Nandini’s fault over? Who is the Chola manimudi? It must be said that Aishwarya Rai has stolen hearts in the second part after the first part. Especially the scene b etween Aditha Karigalan and Nandini is mesmerizing. As Nandini and Oomairani, she carries the entire film wi th her performance. Kudos to Aishwarya Rai for that.Arunmozhi Varman Jayam Ravi has justified the role given by him with his performance. Rajaraja Cholan, who stands and thinks calmly, has acted well as Arunmozhi Varman. Karthi’s performance as Vallavarayan Vandiyathevana is strong for the film. Kundavai Trisha has done what is ne eded for the character.Vikram Prabhu as Parthipendra Pallava has more scope in the second part than the first part. Ravidasan Kishore threatens.
Otherwise Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jayaram, Sopita, Prabhu, Sarasadkumar, Parthiban, Rahman, Lal, Ja yaChitra, Shadows Ravi have all done what their roles required.Following the success of the first part, it was exp ected that the second part would also be successful. It must be said that Mani Ratnam has completed it. Mani Ra tnam has made some changes since he wrote Kalki. Although it was necessary for the film, it left those who read the book a little sad.A slow moving screenplay from the beginning could have been even more brisk. But he ama zes us where needed. The acting of the actors is also a reason for that. Mani Ratnam has used it correctly.
The visuals are beautifully designed. Special kudos to cinematographer Ravi Varman for that. The editing tells a beautiful story.The set of scenes especially for Nandini and Aditha Karigalan was fantastic. Mainly A.R. Rahman is intimidated by his music. He has given the haunting background music for many scenes in the film One, Two. N o matter how many times you praise Thota Dharani’s art direction, it is not enough. Make-up and costume design are strengths for the film.Director Maniratnam has made the impossible possible. The story we read as a novel h as been given to all of us as a movie. He has definitely proved that no one could have done this except him.
Everyone has lived the character, especially Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Vikram, Karthik and Aishwarya Rai who are the pillars of Ponni’s Selvan. In the first part, there was a talk that Vikram did not have much importance, to correct that, it can be said that the second part is entirely Vikram who carries the film and Aditya has lived as Karikalan. Jayam Ravi’s character, who changes from Arulmozhi Varman to Rajaraja Cholan, was excellent. Jayam Ravi tells what a king looks like through his body language. Trisha shines on screen as the epitome of beauty. Especially the dialogue between Karthi and Trisha in a middle island was poetic. Also the dialogue between Vikram and Aishwa rya Rai in the second half was very good.
AR Raghuman is amazing in the background music and songs, many ordinary scenes are transformed into extra ordinary scenes in Rakhuman’s music. People who read the book and go to see the film Ponnin Selvan may have many questions and complaints. Mani Ratnam has adapted many important stories of Prasad Ponni’s Selvan nov el. Nothing in the novel is out of place, especially in the climactic scenes. Also, the battle scenes are not that grea t either. Aditya Karikalan’s death scene is not to be told, the scene that evokes emotions while reading in the nov el, is not reflected on the screen. This may disappoint Ponni’s Selvan novel fans. Otherwise, there is no doubt th at the second part of Ponni’s Selvan will be a huge success just like the first part.
On the other side, Madhurandhagan does many tricks with the idea of getting Manimakudam. On the other end Nandini also makes previous arrangements to kill her ex-boyfriend Aditya Karikalan. Did Nandini kill Aditha Kar ikalan in this? Did Madhurandhagan take the crown? Arulmozhivarman Vanathi marriage took place? Who did t he crown go to in the end? The rest of the story of the film is a lot of deeds like that. Syan Vikram’s performance a s Aditya Karikalan in the film is a hit. Aditya Karigalan has acted well in all of them, from the longing for separat ion from his girlfriend, guilt, Rajjiyam waltan nee te te sahmena Nandini to love. It can be said that Aishwarya Rai has stolen the hearts of the fans in the second part after the first part.
All the scenes between Aditya Karikalan and Nandini keep the viewers mesmerized. Not only that, Aishwarya R ai as Nandini and the dumb queen carries the entire film. Jayam Ravi, who plays the role of Arunmozhivarman, h as done a great job in his role. Jayam Ravi has played the role of Rajaraja Cholan Arunmozhivarman who thinks calmly and acts. Karthi’s performance as Vandiya Deva has given the film extra strength. Vikram Prabhu has sco red more in the second part than the first part. Trisha, Ravi Dasan, Kishore, Prakashraj, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jaya ram, Sopita, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Lal, Raghuman have all done their roles well. After the success of t he first part, the second part created high expectations among the fans.
Mani Ratnam has carried the plot to complement it. However, some changes in the story written by Kalki have caused some grief to the readers of the book. In the beginning, the story seemed to move slowly. But at many pl aces it leaves the audience in awe. AR Raghuman is intimidating with music. Thota Dharani’s art and direction ar e awe-inspiring. On the whole, it can be said that Ponni’s Selvan 2 has fulfilled the expectations of the fans. But Kundavai gets information that both Arulmozhivarman and Vandiya Devan have fallen into the sea and died. Th is makes him depressed. Not only that, Aditya Karikalan is also saddened by the news. From this arises the secon d part.
Also, knowing that Nandini is the reason for this intrigue, Karikalan leaves with an army and goes to Tanjore to kill her. At the same time, Lord Varman, who fell into the sea, is rescued by the mute queen. – On the other side, Madhurandhagan does many tricks with the idea of getting Manimakudam. On the other end Nandini makes all arrangements to kill her ex-boyfriend Aditya Karikalan. Did Nandini kill Aditha Karikalan in this? Did Madhura ndhagan take the crown?
