Movie Review -;

Sethu (Hirudu Haroon) is brought in by his father to look into an accounting case with Annachi Thenappan. Set hu goes to help his friend and gets into trouble. Meanwhile, Sedu attacks the rowdy who is bothering his girlfri end and dies. Sethu is incarcerated in Nagercoil Central Jail on charges of murder and theft. Annachi Thenappan tries to get the stolen money document from him by blackmailing him in jail. It didn’t happen. Sethu plans to esc ape from the jail along with some prisoners and digs a tunnel inside the jail. Climax gives a quick answer to whet her the plan has been fulfilled. While Hollywood is familiar with prison escape stories, this is a new arrival for Ta mil.

Although the film is an adaptation of the 2018 Malayalam film ‘Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil’, director Brinda has staged and directed some changes. The screenplay adds to the plot as it captures the plot to break out of the prison. Prison artwork is elegance with realism. The film’s greatest strength is its making. Priyesh Guruswamy’s lens has made the scenes beautiful by using the lightings inside the four cells of the prison. Sam.CS has threat en ed in the background music by giving the necessary food as full meals. There is no doubt that the thriller genres are indeed the gulajamuns for Sam. Similarly, Praveen Anthony’s cuts are perfect. Especially the final visual att raction.

Hridhu Haroon who gets attention with his excellent performance fits the meter perfectly for his character. In a scene where Bobby Simha gets angry, his chin acts alone. Such an actor has fulfilled the task assigned to him eve n in an insignificant role equal to the main character. RK Suresh delivers his usual gruff performance as Karar Kh akichatti officer. But that gruffness doesn’t seem entirely in sync with the character’s writing. The reason is that the inmates assault him as a prison officer, his weak reaction to such criminals, and the rudeness in the acting li ke standing with a gun in the final scene is missing! Anaswara Rajan’s character is made to be a mere toy as it is written only for mere love, romance and scenes without any importance.

It is ironic that the female lead in the film directed by Brenda is very weakly written and used only for romance. He could not even speak a single verse as he was unable to speak. Munishkanth’s character has been refined by giving all the fight scenes. He is attractive in a character that deviates from the comic character. The way the rain sequence at the beginning of the film is shot is delightful. The camera that constantly rotates inside the prison w alls records the happenings there with constant interest. The love scenes that follow and the song for it are bori ng. The biggest problem is that the emotion the director is trying to convey is not conveyed sufficiently to the au dience.

The backstory for the main character is not that compelling so the audience does not feel any need for him to es cape from prison. For that, his plan is not affected to a great extent. The film chronicles the unfolding of problem s for the main characters. They are so focused on their plans to escape from the prison that it remains a ‘prison b reak’ without an emotional connect. The whole story takes place inside the prison premises. But director Brinda surprises as the first film Hey Cinamika is full of romance and the second film Thux is full of action thriller. Dax’s biggest strength is making. The finesse of the art director, the creepy cinematography inside the prison cells, and above all the background score given by Sam CS all perfectly captures the film Thaks.

Hero Hridhu Haroon gives his best performance and wins the appreciation of the movie goers. Similarly, Bobby Simha, who plays the second hero, has given a complete performance in the film. Brinda’s management is note w orthy in the choice of characters of RK Suresh, a prison officer, Munishkanth, a fellow inmate, PL Thenappan. He roine Anaswara Rajan doesn’t have much scenes.Regardless of the story, the visuals make the story enjoyable. Al though the escape of the prisoners from the prison is a one-liner, Brinda gets appreciation from the fans with the action scenes that are lively and elegant. Although some scenes including the hero’s background are not believa ble, the brisk screenplay makes up for it.Overall Thux movie is getting likes from fans…!
