Movie Review-;
He made his film debut with the name Vasan Karthik, but now he has changed his name to Karthik Singha. Karth ik Singha, who has acted with the same youthfulness and dynamism as seen in the first film, as usual has rocked t he bar in the dance and action sequences. But the right opportunity to show his talent in acting did not come. Alt hough he tried to make the most of his opportunity in this film too, the reality is that the scenes did not coopera te. Newcomer Anaya, who plays the female lead, is the face of the family. He has done the given job flawlessly an d is an apt choice for the character.Robo Shankar, who plays the hero’s friend, appears throughout the film.
But we don’t get laughs in his scenes. No matter how hard he tries to make people laugh by doing comedy, it all g oes in vain. Karthik Singha, who runs a hostel in Kodaikanal, also runs a home for destitute children. Karthik Sin gha, who is head over heels in love with the heroine Anaya, who works in the fire department in Kodaikanal, has the ambition to fulfill the dreams of the children living in the orphanage he runs by educating them well.Meanw hile, Anand Babu, the father of heroine Anaya, donates Rs. 25 lakhs to Karthik Singha’s destitute home, and Ajay Ratnam’s men steal the money from Karthik Singha.

No matter how hard he tries to make people laugh by doing comedy, it all goes in va in.Ajay Ratnam, who is playing the villain, has acted frantically to identify himself as a cruel villain.Even though t he film has many stars like MS Bhaskar, Bose Venkat, Marimuthu, Singhmamuthu, Swaminathan, K u.Gna nasam bandham, Anandbabu, KR Vijaya, Vaishali Thanika, Karate Raja, none of them stand out.
As the story takes place in Kodaikanal, the title is Kodai. But it is a big disappointment that cinematographer Arj unan Karthik did not show Kodaikanal in the title.Music by Subhash Kavi, all the songs are listenable. The back ground music has also traveled well with the story.The film editor G. Sasikumar, who has to tell the story clearly, seems to have pasted the scenes without doing anything, and the scenes move together without connection.Raja Selvam, who has written and directed, has told the romantic action story with many confusions and is confused as to what to say and how to say it. Especially, there are scenes in the film where there are many stars .
But they are not used properly, they just let it go and have fun.Even though the story has all the elements of a complete commercial film like hero’s one sided love, social service and skillful capture of money from fraudste rs, the director has left the line without properly scripting and visualizing it.The director, who is a bit faltering in the first half, has made the film interesting in the second half and the climax. If they had given the same thrill in the first part, they would have celebrated Kodai.
