It is clearly the season of remakes in Tamil cinema, and in the past three weeks, we have seen four Malayalam films making their way to our screens in their Tamil versions. The latest to join this interesting list is Visithiran, a rather faithful remake of the Joju George-starrer Joseph (2018). Remakes are generally of two types — one where the core plot is taken and adapted to suit the sensibilities of the native audience, and the other where it’s a scene-by-scene retelling. Visithiran, which is helmed by M Padmakumar who also directed the original, falls in the latter category.
Maayan (RK Suresh) is a retired police constable, who lives the life of a loner after the death of his daughter. Ev en though age has caught up with him, his policing skills are as sharp as ever. The police department too often se eks the service of Maayan, who is an expert in examining crime scenes and cracking cases. We are introduced to his abilities in a sequence where he cracks a double homicide case in quick time. This lays a strong foundation for us to trust in Maayan and his instincts, as he is forced to embark on another all-encompassing truth-seeking jou rney that forms the rest of the film.

Joseph’ is a Malayalam movie starring Jojo George. The film has been remade in Tamil as ‘Visithiran’. The film is di rected by Padmakumar. Poorna and Madhushalini have played the lead roles in RK Suresh. Composed by GV Pra kash. The film is produced by director Bala’s B Studios. Mayan (RK Suresh), a police officer who witnessed the de ath of his ex-girlfriend, thinks the same and divorces Mayan’s wife Stella (Purna) as he can no longer sink into gri ef. While their daughter RK Suresh was growing up, his wife Stella dies in a similar fashion a few years before his daughter dies in an accident. M. Padmakumar’s previous Malayalam directorial venture ‘Joseph’ was a huge suc cess, and the same director has directed it again in Tamil in the name Visithiran.Constable Mayan, heartbroken by the failure of love in his personal life, is intoxicated full time. He is retired after receiving VRS and is living ap art from his wife. Killadi in detecting Mayan murder crimes living alone in Valparai.
The opening scene shows him cleverly finding a murderer. Mayan’s wife dies in an accident in the same fashion to accompany her daughter’s untimely death. In this case, the medical mafia has come to know about the startling Mayan investigation to resolve the suspicions about these deaths. How an ordinary constable exposed a huge m edical mafia in public. The fairytale screenplay is what he paid for it. Director Padmakumar has created the main story of the Visithiran film to take place in Valparai, Pollachi district. Actor R.K. Suresh has been living alone at h ome since he volunteered for retirement from being a police officer in the film. Who was responsible for these t wo deaths, which came to light as a premeditated murder by the Mayans’ magical eyes? Why did they happen? The rest of the story is about how the Mayans traced them. National Award-winning character for Jojo George’s performance in Malayalam. Only those who have money realize that they have the power to live in this world.
RK Suresh has acted as a challenger knowing that comparison will be mandatory. He has 3 variations in the film. Kudos to RK Suresh for working hard to make it realistic on screen. Since this is a true story and a remake of Ma layalam cinema, there is less chance of trying anything new. But the director has satisfactorily provided some ple asant songs for the Tamil cinema fans. This is the cinematography of Vetrivel Mahendran. Madhu Shalini fills the mind even though only a few scenes come up. Love scenes are admirable. Yugabarathi’s lines of Mahilampoo en tering the mind enter the mind and do magic. The character design of the Mayan friends, including the prince, is fantastic. In fact, the core of this story shocks us. The bitterness over the general public and the medical world ov erwhelms us when it becomes clear that such great theft work can be done on organ donation. The biggest disa p pointment .. GV Prakash Kumar. Not even a single song has GV’s mark .. and the background music doesn’t have a big flaw … that’s the biggest minus for the film.
The question arises as to why you would give life and work only to the films of the big stars. Vetrivel Mahend ra n’s camera captures scenes athletically everywhere. The reasons that ultimately led to the murder further heig hten fears over the medical mafia. If others had given the work given by RK Suresh, surely Visithran would still have been admired.The only thing missing from the story is one thing. I don’t know why everyone including RK Suresh is walking and acting in slow motion at 48 frames. Although it’s a sober drama, it may have been directed by someone other than the Mayan. Director Padmakumar, who was sittingon the edge of their seat wondering w hat would happen after the show in Malayalam, has missed it a bit. Although some changes were made in the sc reenplay for Tamil, none of them worked out well. The Visithiran movie comes about the shocked hero who wi tnessed the sudden death of Suresh’s ex-girlfriend and thought to stay away from his wife.
Thus rather than his wife divorcing him, Suresh stays with his daughter. Following that, Suresh’s daughter dies in an accident. Later he will receive a call from the hospital management saying his wife has passed away. Following the incident, Suresh comes with a point saying that all these happenings are no accident. The screenplay goes on to say that what happened was a premeditated murder. Suresh attempts to prove the killer by discovering that his daughter had been murdered for organ transplants and the challenges and investigations involved. This is the main plot of the story. The film is a theoretical depiction of how a police officer investigates and finds the killer. RK Suresh, who has never been seen on screen before, can be seen in this movie. Strange has broken the notion that remake films, in general, come in handy. RK Suresh has given only as much as he can to the impact that Jojo George has made in Malayalam. The film manages to entertain as well as inform. GV Prakash’s music and Yugab arathi’s lyrics combine to make Visithran even stronger in a pleasant visual experience.

Marimuthu, Ravi Venkatraman and Pondy Ravi has done the lead roles in Visithiran Tami full movie. Baka and Siva Sekar Kilari have produced the movie under the banners B Studios and Shark Pictures. Vetrivel Mahendran well handles the cinematography with an amazing edit by Sathish Suriya. G.V. Prakash has composed the music for this movie Visithiran. The acting has gone to the next level. He has scored in everything from the expressions h e gives to the water and the melting scenes in the house. Madhushalini, who happens to be Mayan’s girlfriend, stays in my mind for a while. Poorna, who is coming as a wife, has also exhibited stressful acting. As well as fri en ds including the prince who become Mayan friends and specialize in character design. The biggest business to d ay is medicine and the industries around it. But these organ theft things that are shown to be happening in this medical field that is supposed to save human lives make us tired. Even if you have seen this movie in Malayalam, Visithran gives us the same satisfaction again in Tamil.
