Story-;
Suriya appears as a lawyer Krishnamohan, who leads a happy life with this parents in a rural area. Sathyaraj and Saranya are his parents. The joyful life of Suriya gets even better when he starts seeing heroine Priyanka who plays the role of Adhira. However when everything seems to going well for the lead pair, trouble erupts in the fo rm of villain Vinay Rai who appears as Kamesh. Kamesh using his political and financial clout, lures young wo men and after using them for sexual desires starts blackmailing them with their private videos. Kamesh almost runs a racket and wrecks havoc with many women’s life. How Suriya and his family gets targeted by villain and how he tackles such a menacing crime is the main plot of ET.

After nearly three years, fans of Suriya will get to watch him on the big screen in Etharkkum Thunindhavan. The movie, which is directed by Pandiraj, has hit the big screens today, and in many parts of Tamil Nadu there were sh ows from 4:15 am onwards. Many fans of Suriya have watched the movie already and they can’t stop praising it. Netizens are calling ET a ‘perfect masala film with a powerful message’. The movie also stars Priyanka Arul Mo han and Vinay Rai. What a Power Packed film in all aspects ! Suriya gave Another Fantastic Performance after JaiBhim. He Stole the Show all the way. A Perfect Mass Entertainer with Terrific Climax. 100 cr is on the way for Another netizen wrote, “ EtharkkumThunidhavan – Sends out a Powerful message about the exposure of wo men body images and how the society at large should handle that.. Suriya. Go for it !” Unabashedly, Suriya’s ET review plays to the gallery, peppered with the usual formulaic elements.
Yes, the film is largely predictable, but it’s the sensitive theme and some scintillating scenes that make the film a winner.Director Pandiraj has rightly handled a sensitive theme, offering much-needed hope to women. Tamil fil ms usually lecture women on how they should safeguard themselves from predators, but here in a welcome cha nge, both Pandiraj and Suriya have sent out a powerful message it’s only abusers who should get ashamed, while victims must develop strength and confidence to take the ugly masks off criminals.A doting son, Kannabiran (Su riya), takes up law as a profession to help his family and friends. The first half of the film is filled with light-hear ted moments with Suriya and his parents (Sathyaraj and Saranya Ponvannan) and a romantic angle with Aadhini (Priyanka Arul Mohan).Without any delay, Pandiraj also introduces his formulaic villain Inba (Vimal), who uses his political and monetary clout to unleash terror in the village where women mostly fall prey to his vicious web.
The rest of the story is very simple — how Kannabiran unmasks the underworld crime of Inba and brings justice to the victims in his way. Though Pandiraj’s story is tried and tested, he peppers his script with intense emotional sequences in the second half. Especially, a particular scene featuring Priyanka is one of the boldest and most sig nificant moments in Tamil cinema. Pandiraj deserves accolades for the way he deftly used Priyanka’s character to deliver some hard truths. And a box-office climax to end with!Etharkkum Thunindhavan is tailor-made for Sur iya, excelling in comical and action sequences. Pandiraj elevates Suriya’s image in multiple scenes, satisfying the appetite of his fans, who have waited for more than two years to celebrate their matinee idol on the big scree n.P riyanka comes across as the typical Tamil heroine in the first half, but in an emotionally demanding scene, which will be another big talking point of the film, she just delivers.
Among the rest of the actors, Sathyaraj and Saranya Ponvannan play their parts to perfection, While Vinay looks stylish, his character is poorly written without any layers,Rathnavelu’s visuals look grand on the big screen, edit or Ruben and Pandiraj’s idea to start the film with the climax also works well. The editing is crisp with a perfect runtime of 150 minutes. Imman’s songs are enjoyable and so is his BGM.Overall, Etharkkum Thunindhavan has a few flaws here and there but it still ends up as an effective mass entertainer because of the core message and Suri ya’s powerful screen presence.In Etharkkum Thunindhavan, Suriya plays Kannabiran, an advocate who rem ains by the side of equity and safeguards the blameless people. He is the doting son to his parents Aadhir ayar (Sathyaraj) and Kosalai (Saranya Ponvannan). What’s more, according to Aadhini (a fine Priyankaa Arul Mohan), his love interest, is like Murugan. In short, he is more or less an avatar, and without straining too much. Director Pandiraj lays out the legend of his hero. The plot takes this thought forward with Kannabiran attempting to saf eguard the nobility of ladies.
