Story-;

Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam is a duplex film that has two different stories. Both the stories have caste as the und erlying point – the first half is treated on a light-hearted note with fun, while the latter half has an intense and se rious approach. Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam talks about a very serious topic – about the reservation quota and ho w it needs to benefit the economically backward people. The film also addresses another point – any person (irre spective of the caste) can become a priest in a temple and it is not just catered to the Brahmins. How has director Prabhu Jeyaram treated this sensitive subject? Watch the film to know!

Movie Review-;

‘Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam’ are actually two very different stories with the same cast, which are innovative in th emselves and offer a completely new film experience. A would-be filmmaker tells a film producer a coming-of-a ge story about the romantic escapades of a young man played by RS Karthik. At different stages he falls in love with three women belonging to the Christian, Muslim and Hindu religions and how each of the relationships is br oken is told in a hilarious way. Especially the scene where Karthik gets his mother to change her name will bring the roof down. When the story goes untouched, the film contender tells a serious story about how reservations about government jobs affect three young men from high and low castes. What follows is an honest, thought-pr ovoking script that will keep you glued to the screen. The story rotates around the new mayhem of naming cle rics at sanctuaries. A probably “duplex” film that has two unique parts, the primary portion of the film hauls th rough offering some respite later as parody and some intriguing interpretation of the subject.

Post span the film takes a genuine turn taking the issue head on and presenting to address both the sides. The fi lm clearly has its plan clear with regards to the issue, though a few reservations. The young writer and director Prabhu Jeyaram, a welcome new discovery, is instrumental in boldly conveying his messages and at the same ti me has gained a lot in his innovative storytelling. On rare occasions, Tamil cinema produces films that come out of the blue and have the lowest expectations, but surprise everyone and offer the audience a new experience. ‘Ennanga Sir Unga Sattam̵  is one such film that, despite its inadequacies, conveys its tough messages in a wonde rfully entertaining and honest manner. Karthik RS is nice as the ridiculous legend. Ayraa is acceptable as well. Ro hini doesn’t dazzle. Arun Radhakrishnan’s cinematography is fine, Guna Balasubramanian’s experience score is a decent endeavor. Prakash Karunanithi might have worked more earnestly in the altering division. Exchanges are compelling and bearing for a debutant is commendable. Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam is a Tamil language political satire drama written and directed by Prabhu Jeyaram.

The film stars Maanagram fame Karthik in a lead role. It is bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram in collaboration with Jayaram under the banner Passion Studios. Music composer Guna Balasubramanian scores the music while Arun krishna Radhakrishnan cranks the camera. The movie is touted to portray the social message to the audience for caste, religion, race which prevailing in our nation. The best actress in ‘Ennanga Sir Unga Sattam’ is veteran actr ess Rohini, who plays a woman of low intelligence in the first part and transforms into a high-ranking governme nt official in the second part. RS Karthik is reminiscent of ‘Attakathi’ in the first half, but is very convincing in the first half as an unemployed Romeo and in the second as a priest with a low cast. Junior Balayya, Ayraa, Bhagava thi Perumaal and the rest of the cast all did their part well. “Bigg Boss” fame Meera Mitun appears in a character very close to her true personality and offers great relief in an otherwise intense episode. There are more than a few things that work best in ‘Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam’ and the first is the innovative style of giving the audienc e a happy time with an easy story first and then uncompromisingly passing the relevant messages on in the sec ond.

Although the first half seems easy on the surface, the politics within the family, between the boy and the girl, and the influence of caste and religion in Romanticism were clearly emphasized. In the second half, the film is very honest about its point of view that it is important to uplift the poor, no matter what caste they belong to.The dial ogues are powerful, uncompromising and tough and would have received thunderous applause if the film had hit the cinemas. The concurrent climax of a lower-class brahmin, a lower-caste priest, and a poverty-stri cken man struggling to achieve his life goals and the factors that affect them is a truly compelling watch.On the other hand, some scenes are not staged as complementary, which dilutes the  tensity. Budget constraints are quite evident in some sequences and Rohini’s actions at the climax to help a deserving candidate are not as convincing, although the director himself uses it as a ploy to give a hopeful ending. Guna Balasubramaniam’s music is upbeat during th e first half and his bits for romance are all catchy. “Jeeraga Biryani” and the melancholy song in the second half are remembered. Other technical contributions are on par.

Behind this little gem are Passion Studios, known for supporting meaningful films. The young writer and director Prabhu Jeyaram, a welcome new discovery, is instrumental in boldly conveying his messages and at the same ti me has gained a lot in his innovative storytelling.Don’t miss this innovative and entertaining film that honestly gets its bold messages across
